So, I'm playing with my food, so to speak....my budget that is...:rotfl:

Since DH and I are going in Oct. for two days prior to our cruise, and I now have 8 days planned for my trip next June...I need 10 days worth of passes, however I only need 8 w/ WPFM + PH, and 2 with just PH...If I buy a premium annual pass, I could also buy a TIW card...The price difference between the PAP + TIW and the two separate length of stay passes is $169.

Is it worth it to do TIW? Will I save at least $169? I think so, but if Free Dining is offered for our dates, I'm not eligible for a package because I will be using the annual pass. Is that correct? :confused3

Correct (sort of). To be eligible for the common free dining packages there is a minimum ticket purchase (2 days currently, though this could change). So, you COULD get it, but you'd have to buy 2 day base tickets for everyone, which could wipe out any savings you'd get from the plan.

For the TiW card, you get out what you put in. You have to hit roughly $355* in order to "break even" (note: if CF is around, the number is $352 and change, but we'll round up just to ruffle his fur!). After that point, it's all savings. Note that this card covers up to 10 people, so the larger your group, the faster the savings can rack up. It's also good for about a year (a little longer), so it can be used to cover multiple trips.

To hit that $169 saved amount would take work though. If you figure that $352 and change is about $75 saved, then it would take a little over twice that to reach the $169 saved mark (so, figure around $750-$800 or so). Of course, that's over the span of the year, and over multiple people, so it's probably quite doable. (And that number is BEFORE the discount too).

*Note that, while 20% savings suggests a "break even" point of $375, the truth is that the savings is slightly more as they tax on the amount post discount, so it's roughly a 21.6% savings.

Thank you.:goodvibes

In Oct., it will just be two of us for two days...and one of those days at F&W, so it won't save me much on that trip.

In June though there will be 6 of us and we will probably be doing more TS than QS, so I think that I'll be spending more than $750-800but I'll have to consult the list of participating restaurants...

Remember too that the 20% discount for the PAP is good for pretty mic all the stuff you purchase. Since I love Disney dooneys, I could make up the rest pretty quickly
