Playing Baseball at Wide World of Sports

My son's travel baseball team is considering doing the baseball tournament at the Wide World of Sports in December 2012.

Has anybody ever done one of these tournaments? and if so do you have any suggestions, tips or just tell me your experience.

The team as a whole is looking at this as an amazing experience and the chance to vacation in Disney all at the same time.

I'm wondering how your experience was. We are playing at WWOS this summer. I realize this is a very old thread, but it came up in the search. Thanks

I'll be honest, I played softball in the Diamond9 tournament. The one thing I realized was that because of the size of the tournament, we didn't actually have a single game scheduled on Disney property. This may not be the case for your tournament, but I figured I'd mention that.

However, I've watched girls on younger teams play there and they had a blast. There were great opening ceremonies and they had a ton of fun. It was definitely an amazing experience.

Oh! And be warned you might have to pay to enter the park to watch your son play. He'll get in for free, but you might not.
