PlayHouse Disney ??

Hi, we are currently planning our trip to DL in March, I was reading that WDW is opening a playhouse disney show where you can meet Handy Manny and the Little Einsteins. Can you find these characters in DL or DCA too?

Also wondering if they are not available can you find Pooh, Tigger, Stitch, Lilo, Buzz, and Woody readily in the parks? Would really hate to dissappoint DS 2. Thank you for all your tips, etc.

Playhouse Disney is undergoing a refurb soon to replace some of the older characters and updating the show to include Handy Manny and the Einsteins. I'm not sure if these shows will include a meet/greet though, since the older show did not. I believe the new show debuts in early March.

Edited to add: Playhouse Disney is down for reburb Feb 12 through March 13.

You can find Pooh and friends in Critter Country right at the exit of the Pooh ride. Buzz can be found in Tomorrowland, and Woody & Jessie in Frontierland. I have never seen Lilo in the parks, but you can see her at her meal at the PPH. I have seen Stitch in DCA several times.

If you ever need to find a character, the best thing to do is check at City Hall, and they will call a "character finder" CM who will give you the schedule/location for greets throughout the day.

I'm so upset Playhouse Disney will be down while we are there in Feb, it goes down just a few days before we arrive Ds will be upset. But, at least we will get to see the new version since we will have our AP's. Can't wait for that a the new Pixar Parade, I know the kids will love those.

Yeah, so glad that the possibility even exists that he can meet the Little Einsteins...or at least see them. Does Disney tend to run on time when refurbishing rides/sights/shows?? We will be there on the 22, that will be close.

Can you meet the characters of the dining experience without really dining there? Just curious.

I have been to the Playhouse Disney Live show twice with my 2.5-year old, and even though he doesn't watch any of the shows, he LOVES it! He loves to get up and dance along with the music. It's his favorite part of DCA!

I hope you get to see your little ones favorite characters!

Does anyone know how early prior to the showtime we should get there to get good seats or is there lots of seating and not hard to get? Any seats better than others to try to get?

It's all seating on the floor and it is very easy to get seats. There really isn't a bad seat in the place. If you have someone who can't sit on the floor, there is a row of benches/chairs along the back wall, but they are very limited and fill up pretty quickly.

Bummer, I didn't realize Playhouse Disney wouldn't be running while we are there. Oh, well I guess those are the trade offs of going at an off time of year.

Blythe, according to the dates in your signature line, you should be fine to see the newly refurbished Playhouse Disney.
