Wondering if there were any opinions about the Playhouse Disney CM at Hollywood Studios - either Breakfast or Lunch? Hard to get ADR?
Thanks!

If you have kids who are into the characters, it is a good meal character wise. There is lots of singing and dancing and it is really loud in there with everyone having a good time. That being said, the food is pretty bad. Breakfast is passable- not too bad. But lunch was one of the most horrific meals I have had in all my stays in WDW. It is usually a pretty easy one to get.

We had breakfast there last November. It was one of our favorites. DS, 5, had a great time! The food was really good, nice variety. :thumbsup2

The Food is very bad and why people visit the place.. I just don't understand...

The characters are worth it for small kiddies. The food awful, especially at Lunch. If this is a must for your kids, do breakfast.

We went for breakfast and it was fine. Our DDs loved seeing their favorite characters. The interaction was fun. JoJo, Goliath, Leo and June led parades and danced with the children.

For breakfast the food was fine. They had a great variety actually. Eggs w/chorizo, tortillas, my DH loved the corned beef hash. They also had the usual sausage, bacon, Mickey waffles.

Honestly, this place does seem to get mixed reviews. I don't know about lunch/dinner - but the breakfast was hot, prepared well, the service was fine and the characters were great.

We were there for breakfast last week - around 8:15. I liked it, I thought it was good. It is breakfast buffet, and I think they are all about the same... HOWEVER, it was our very first morning, and that was when we discovered that my DD2 was going to be PETRIFIED of the characters (how did I know? She liked them back in August!!). But, I think it was cute and I would do it again if my DD starts liking them again.

We just ate there a 2 weeks ago for breakfast. We had a 10am reservation and it was not busy. Food was good, nothing spectacular. The service was good. The character interaction was great. They would get all of the kids up and dancing. Very entertaining. My kids really enjoyed it, but they love Playhouse Disney. My DS (5) said it was his favorite place we ate.

is it just jo-jo and goliath there? hm maybe i should see if we can get a breakfast there

well i ended up booking after i saw it had some little einsteins there...i guess its not a hard ADR i call just now for 3/6 and got my pick of times, we have breakfast at 8:15 now

We went in November. It was only about half full and we got alot of character time, Leo sat down and pretended to eat with my son. June sat at our table. It was worth the character experience. We had breakfast and the food was all fresh and hot although it would have been nice to have a bit more selection. Otherwise no complaints we liked this meal.

We had breakfast there last February and LOVED it! The character interaction was amazing! The food was quite good, seemed fresh and there was a good variety. My husband is very picky and he really liked it, wants to go back in fact.

Thank you for all of your advice on Playhouse Disney.

I called and booked breakfast for next Wednesday - 8:40am.

My kids just love Little Einsteins and Disney Clubhouse.

I think you will enjoy it. Especially if you kids like playhouse Disney. Have a great vacation!

DD3 LOVED it. She loves Jojo and she got to dance with her a couple of times. The place wasn't near full for lunch on a Friday, and the food wasn't too bad--especially compared to what you might think based on the reviews on DISboards!

If you have a preschooler who loves PHDisney, I think it's a can't miss. Just remember that you're not going for the food (although there is always soft serve), you're going for the LO. :)

We just returned today :sad1: and I would have to say the food was terrible :crazy2: for lunch. I would never tell anyone to eat there unless they really want to see the characters. The interaction was good, but the food was not. There were a lot of empty tables so I think you could walk up and get a reservation. Not a good sign...

We took DS when he was 2.5, and we all hated it. DS was scared of the characters. He loves them on tv, but, apparently, daddy-sized they are terrifying.

DH and I both hated the food. We haven't been back. If DS ever stops being afraid of characters while still be young enough to appreciate Playhouse Disney, we _might_ go back, but I doubt it.

So glad I saw this post. This is on my list for our next visit and now I know to avoid lunch.

Wondering though if they will get rid of JoJo and Goliath....they don't seem to be too prominent on Playhouse Disney anymore.
