We will be staying at the BC/YC in a week. I was wondering if there were any playgrounds or play areas for kids? Besides the amazing pool there, I was just wondering what else we could do on a few down days that we will have not going to the parks.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no playground. There is an arcade.

There is a small playground at the Boardwalk across the lagoon, however, along with Fantasia Gardens mini-golf within walking distance

Some super fun down-day things are renting a Surrey along the boardwalk or renting a boat in the lake.

There is also one at the Dolphin not to far from YC/BC.

If you have a car (or don't mind switching buses) a great down day for us was heading over to the AKL for counter service lunch and animal viewing - they also had a few activities for kids and a nice toddler playground the kids enjoyed. If you go in the evening they have storytelling and night vision goggles for viewing animals.

Keep in mind you can't swim (you prob know that!)
