There would be no extra charge to upgrade your 9yr old to the adult plan.
The way the s/p/d works is EVERYONE (ages 3+) pays child's price for tickets and food. Rack rate for the room. Actually a great deal if you want to upgrade a kid to adult.
That would be awesome. My only worry is do they question this type of thing? Frankly my 7 and 3 yo would prefer an adult dining plan as well. They enjoy sushi, steak, lamb, you name it. I think the youngest would enjoy kid food for a day or two and then be burned out on it as well.
I imagine they wouldn't be thrilled if I tried to upgrade my other two kids. This keeps me coming back to wondering if we'd do better OOP.
If I upgrade them on the dining plan, I can still keep them as their actual birth ages for park tickets, correct? They'll be almost 4, 7, and almost 10.
Would it be obnoxious to upgrade both my 9 and 7 year olds under free dining? If I do that, my 3 yo will be miffed that he has to order off the kid menu
I'm just wondering at what point they'd question my request to upgrade. The thing is, the "kid food" is why we didn't plan on doing DDP from the beginning and were going to opt for OOP with the kids splitting adult entrees when appropriate, etc. I still need to run the #s on RO vs. s/p/d, but part of it depends on whether I can definitely upgrade one or all the kids to adults for dining. It seems too good to be true.
