Play, Stay, Dine - good deal?

There would be no extra charge to upgrade your 9yr old to the adult plan.
The way the s/p/d works is EVERYONE (ages 3+) pays child's price for tickets and food. Rack rate for the room. Actually a great deal if you want to upgrade a kid to adult.

That would be awesome. My only worry is do they question this type of thing? Frankly my 7 and 3 yo would prefer an adult dining plan as well. They enjoy sushi, steak, lamb, you name it. I think the youngest would enjoy kid food for a day or two and then be burned out on it as well.

I imagine they wouldn't be thrilled if I tried to upgrade my other two kids. This keeps me coming back to wondering if we'd do better OOP.

If I upgrade them on the dining plan, I can still keep them as their actual birth ages for park tickets, correct? They'll be almost 4, 7, and almost 10.

Would it be obnoxious to upgrade both my 9 and 7 year olds under free dining? If I do that, my 3 yo will be miffed that he has to order off the kid menu :rolleyes2 I'm just wondering at what point they'd question my request to upgrade. The thing is, the "kid food" is why we didn't plan on doing DDP from the beginning and were going to opt for OOP with the kids splitting adult entrees when appropriate, etc. I still need to run the #s on RO vs. s/p/d, but part of it depends on whether I can definitely upgrade one or all the kids to adults for dining. It seems too good to be true.

Quite honestly, I do not know! I have seen lots of chatter about people upgrading their 7,8,9 year olds without issue. Hopefully someone could chime in about the younger set. You also might have better luck searching for answers about upgrading the DP over on the Dining Plan thread. Lots of great info over there!

To answer your question about the tickets, I don't see how you could have one age for the tickets and a different age for the DP. Really shouldn't be an issue from a $$ standpoint since, again, everyone is paying child's price regardless of age.

I'm not sure about this promotion but under the free dining it was allowed. My DD 9 at the time doesn't like the kid menu offerings. So we upgraded her to an adult but we needed to pay for the adult tickets as well. Not sure if allowed under S/P/D promo.

Nope, no one cares. Upgrade whoever you want. when you call don't even ask - 'i need to change xxx to 10 years old.' The ages would be applied to tickets and dining and can't be different ages for each. They're tied together.
