We booked the play free for our 1st vacation that we just arrived back from so of course we are ready to go back :cool1: I believe the promo saved us more than the free dining since we had 4 kids with us. We are planning April 2013 (approx spring break time) but we want to make this a longer vacation 8-10 days! This time we will be taking my stepson as well so 5 kids total but the oldest kid will be 11 and I know she will fall into the Jr or Adult ticket category. I am ready to put our deposit down next month when prices come out per the travel agent we used, I would like to book the Land and Cruise trip. I have read how expensive the Disney Cruise is and would easily consider going on Royal Caribbean or one of those to keep this trip as budget friendly as possible. My plan is to spend 4-5 days on land and 3-4 days on the cruise. What are our options? All tips and suggestions welcomed. Thank you

The Disney is amazing:thumbsup2 but can be very expensive. With six people you definitely need two rooms. A standard room is five people. Once the child is 10 they start counting as adult, but on the ship they dont have kids prices. The cost is less for the 3rd and 4th person.

There will be 7 total. 2 adults, 1 10yr old, and 4 kids 8 and under. I am going to plan on going during the Play Free promo but I dont know when exactly that is.

There is no guarantee they will release a Play Free promo for 2013 and even then it may be only for those lucky ones that get the pin code postcard or email.;)

Plan your trip with the rates currently available(room portion will be higher because 2013 rates are not available yet) and *if* a promo comes out that works for your dates, you can apply it and get the difference back.:thumbsup2 Disney only releases deals when bookings are low so we all have to wait and see.

Also, book the cruise and land portion separately. If a room only discount or package promo comes out, you usually cannot add it to a Land/Sea package.
