Hello. We are planning a trip to Orlando in November. I see that they have weekday tickets for $50, which I am planning on buying for DS and his friend since they are only going for one day and will purchase the dining plan separate for them.

However, DD and I are planning on going to SW for two days. I called SW and asked if a second day could be added to the $50 weekday tickets and they said no. Does anyone know for sure if I could buy the tickets using the Play and Dine and add a second day for $10? I would only need the dining plan for one day but would really like to visit for two days.

Thanks!

I contacted Sea World about this and was told that you could add a day on to any ticket, included discounted. I specifically asked about the $50 weekday ticket... I am going to double check with the person with whom I was corresponding...

This is what I received:
Thank you for contacting SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment®. We appreciate your questions as they are valuable in helping us improve the high level of service that we strive to provide for our guests.

I am excited to learn that you are planning to visit SeaWorld® Orlando and hope you will enjoy all of our wonderful rides, shows and attractions! We do offer guest’s the option to add a second day at the park within 7 days of your first visit for just $10 per person. This offer is available on any paid admission ticket, including discounted tickets, and can be obtained at the park on the day of your visit at the Vacation Experience Center located by Sea Lion and Otter Stadium.

Hmm. Weird. I checked my e-mail though once I read your reply to see if I had gotten a response (it took a while so I called in the meantime) and this is what mine says:

I am excited to learn that you are planning to visit SeaWorld® Orlando and hope you will enjoy all of our wonderful rides, shows and attractions! The second day free is offered at the park for $10 per person +tax; however, it is not valid with the purchase of special promotional offers. You will not be able to add a second day with the Weekday admission or the Play and Dine admission.

I would recommend the 2013 Fun Card. This offers unlimited admission from your date of purchase through December 31, 2013 for the same price as a full paid single day admission. The cost is $92 for adults and $84 for children three to nine + tax. You could then purchase your meals separately.

I guess now we have conflicting info!

In case anyone is still wondering about this topic, I e-mailed Sea World again to try to clarify and got this answer (which I will print and take with me):

Thank you for contacting our SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment® family of parks. We appreciate your questions; they are valuable in helping us improve our high level of service that we strive to provide.

I am sorry about the conflicting information you received when you inquired about upgrading Weekday Tickets to a second day visit. I highly encourage you to go this route, for $60 you will receive a two day ticket and this is one of the best promotions we recently had! First, please buy your Weekday Tickets online, as they are not available at the entrance of the park, at this rate. On the day of your visit, please stop by the Vacation Experience office with your tickets and photo ID, it is located by the Sea Lion Stadium. The second day ticket can be used within the next 7 consecutive days from the first visit.

Thank you again for contacting us at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment®. We hope to see you soon!

So it would seem that you can buy the Weekday ticket and probably the Play and Dine ticket and still get the second day for $10.

That's good. I know for sure you can do it with play and dine. Glad they offer it for the weekday ticket too.

How do you know FOR SURE that you can do it with play and dine? Have you had success doing so personally?

Not personally since I have an AP but it was discussed a while back at the beginning of the yr and SW and others who went said it was a go. The park ticket and food ticket are seperate so there is no way for them to know what kind of ticket was purchesed.

Thanks for posting. If it helps anyone, I thought I would also post the response that I received when I emailed about upgrading the $50 weekday pass for a 2nd day. Here is my response:

I am excited to learn that you are planning to visit SeaWorld® Orlando and hope you will enjoy all of our wonderful rides, shows and attractions! I do apologize for the confusion; however, all paid admission can be upgraded for a second day for only $10 +tax per person. Please be advised that your second visit must occur within seven days of ticket issuance. I hope this offers some clarity.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment®. We look forward to your visit!

I have a question about this. If I upgrade the $50 weekday ticket to a 2-day for $10, do I have to use the second day on a weekday or can it be a weekend day? I'm assuming it can be any day but you know what happens when you assume!

I just upgraded the $50 weekday ticket yesterday and yes, the 2nd day ticket is good any day in the next 7 days after upgrading. It was $10+tax for each ticket upgrade.

That's good to know! Thanks for sharing. Did you have to upgrade the ticket at a certain place or by a certain time of the day? I seem to remember reading that you had to do the upgrade before a certain time. I remember doing it on the way out of the park in years past but don't want to miss a deadline if there is one.

Sorry for taking so long to respond. I just returned home from vacation on Sept 3 and life has been extremely busy since I got home w/ school and soccer and everything in between.
Anyway, You just need to upgrade your tickets before you leave the park for the day. Very easy to do, only takes 5 minutes.

Thank you. This sounds like a very good option for us!

We have about 4 to 5 hours one day to fill and this would be great for $10 more.

No problem! Thanks for responding. We don't leave until a month from today so this is good to know. Looking forward to the second day as it will be a nice quiet day with just DD16 and me. Everyone else in our group will be at Universal. ;)

I wonder if we can buy these then upgrade to a fun card? We r going in Dec and March. Mmmmm

The fun cards expire at the end of this year, so you could not use them in March. Maybe if you have enough days, you would want to get an AP? What package or ticket deals SW will have next year is not yet known.

Oh I know they expire at the end of Dec but usually around nov start of dec they will advertise the fun card for the rest of 2013 and the following year. We have one AP not sure I want 4. Meh guess I will see what discounts come out.
