DH and I spoiled ourselves silly at the Poly from 11/20-23. *sigh* It was definitely worth it and we will use this plan again on our next trip - only for 3 nights of the trip though! We switched resorts from POR to the Poly early on 11/20, and switched again from Poly to Pop on 11/23. You'd definitely need the full 4 days/3 nights to make use of everything included on the plan. The Platinum Plan is $199 extra per person per night. So that means we spent an extra $1194. Here's what we did and how we made out:

11/20
'Ohana - $43.72
LTT - $83.06
Fulton's - $178.12
Cirque ~ $150 (not sure of the exact amount on this)
2 Sea Raycers for 30 min. - $47.99
Trail ride - $64.00
Parasailing - $239.63
Package gift ~ $95 (this is being shipped to us later, they were out of stock)

11/21
PSB - $54.76
Alfredo's - $117.65
Room service snack (choc. covered strawberries) - $37.30
Citrico's - $132.42
Epcot Aqua Seas Tour ~ $200
Preferred viewing for Fantasmic

11/22
Rainforest Cafe - $138.92
Victoria & Albert's - $240.35
2 Sea Raycers for 60 min. - $65.99
25 min. Swedish massage - $116.00
Backstage Safari tour ~ $130

11/23
Room service bfast - $46.71
Coral Reef - $154.19
Yachtsman Steakhouse ~ $130 (can't find this receipt!)
Dolphins in Depth tour ~ $300
Illuminations Cruise ~ $120

So our grand total of "savings" was $1695.81. We still had 1 point left at the end - should've gotten 2 servings of the strawberries;)

Also included in the Platinum is a pre-arrival itinerary planner. This was useful, Marilyn set everything up for us. Sometimes it was difficult to get a hold of her, but in the end everything worked out. We were also supposed to get turn-down service. We didn't, but we got a lovely gift basket from concierge one night and we did have concierge access (which we didn't pay for), so we weren't about to question anything... We also received something in the mail yesterday that we didn't expect from the Plat. Plan people and the Polynesian so we were happy about that. We were told to expect our Plat. Plan keepsake by January. We saw the picture on the voucher, so we're excited to get that.

We used our choice feature for Leave a Legacy tile.

We had a lot of firsts on this trip - we hadn't tried V&A yet, never had a massage, never did Aqua Seas or Dolphins, never done any type of fireworks cruise, never stayed at a deluxe, etc. We had a fabulous time :D I think the way we planned the trip helped. We had 8 nights of park time, relaxation time, and the crowds had started to pick up so we were ready to spend time doing other things.

Any questions about anything we did or about the Plan in general? :D

I thought the Plat plan was more than $200 per person per night. Sounds like you did great getting your money's worth! how did you end up with points? I thought platinum plan was unlimited access with the three meals a day and snacks. Can you clarify? I've always wanted to do the platinum plan just to have access to everything I think we Might want to do!! or EAT!! Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. How did you like the Poly?

Very impressive and looks like fun, diswedwish!

Think you made an excellent choice in splitting your stay so you could enjoy the Platinum plan at its fullest, and then on the other days go off it and enjoy the rest.

Did you go to the parks much during the 4 days you were on the Platinum Plan? You did have to buy 4 day Ultimate Park Hoppers, right?

fam4jc: You do have unlimited access to recreation, tours - for these you do not use points, you just present your card and *poof* it's magically paid for;)

Meals work the same way the Gold Plan does, on a point system. Each restaurant "costs" 1 point per person. There is no differentiation between meals and snacks - we started with 4 points per person per night or for us 24 points. The difference between Gold and Platinum is that with Platinum you get 4 points instead of 3, and with Plat. you can eat at V&A and get room service. The reason we ended up with 1 point at the end is because when I ordered the strawberries I just got 1 order which = 1 point. Make sense?

And we did really enjoy the Poly!!! It was beautiful, we loved the space, and it was very convenient to hop on the monorail and go.

PolyHereWeCome: We did go into the parks but not very much. One night MK was open until midnight so we got in a few hours then. We spent a few hours in MGM before our Fantasmic seating, some time in Epcot before one of our tours, and a few hours in AK. We really didn't have much downtime. But you do have to get a DreamMaker package in order to add-on the Platinum. I don't think we would enjoy the Platinum Plan for much more than 3 nights, simply for the loss of park time and too much eating!

:D
