My husband splurged and booked the Platinum Plan and a One Bedroom Suite at the Beach Club for my birthday.:cool1: (He is so special) I see in the brochure that you get a special gift with this plan. Does anyone know what this gift is?

Thanks,

Lyn

Bumping because I would really like to know too. Last time we did the "Grand Plan" we recieved a beautiful, very large, glass bowl that has Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy & Donald etched onto it. I can't remember what year it was, I think 2000 but I could be wrong.

We did the Platinum plan back in 2004 at AKL. So who knows if it's different now, but back then we got a crystal figurine of Tinkerbell. It's about 5-6" tall I think and is really nice! I'd guess that if someone were to buy it that it would probably cost $50-$75. But it's hard to say with something like that... especially Disney merchandise. Could be alot more than I would ever be willing to spend on it! :rolleyes1 After we got home we also got a poster mailed to us that had all the different characters on it! Nice!

I could be wrong.. but I believe this gift is selected from a group of eligible gifts.. based in part on what the concierge folks thinks the guest might enjoy.

Generally they all fall into the precious and commemorative 'glass type' thing. But not all.

Thank you everyone. Everything sounds great. I can't wait to see what it is. Back in 1995 we did what was called the Gold Key Plan and we got a mantle clock that plays all different disney tunes. I still have it and it works fine.

We did not get our gift from the concierge CM, we had a voucher for this gift and had to pick it up at the gift shop in the castle. So if the CM at the gift shop had a choice it what they gave us, I don't know :confused3 . We did not have a choice though, I'm sure of that.

The platinum plan gift this year is a nice crystal statue of Mickey sitting on a block of crystal. It can be picked up with your gift voucher at the Art of Disney at DTD.

Amy, the Platinum Planner for BW/YB/BC is great, she'll take good care of you!

HI there, I did the Platinum Plan back in December, the gift was a Vase & Platter (Large)

Wow, Thats cool.. How much more is this plan than the basic dining one?

It's quite a bit more (I don't know exactly, but I've priced the plans out for guests) - and you will never get a discount on a package with any plans above the regular dining.

OP - that is a great husband! (Mine is great too, but he knows better than to spend that kind of money on me - I'd be needling him about it all the time). :)

With glass possibly being the gift, do they ship it? I was just wondering, I know my suitcase doesn't pack items like glass well (it's more of a backpack than a suitcase).

It's about 199.00 per person, per day more for Platinum

150.00 pp. pd. for Premium

The platinum plan is quite expensive, but it includes just about everything. If you used it to the max I guess it could save money. In my opinion I think is it worth it.

It includes all tours, a fireworks cruise, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, all recreation (waterskiing, parasailing, guided fishing tours, and boats) Cirque Du Soleil and one spa treatment per person plus more.

I forgot to add that you also get itinerary planning service from a fantasic person named Amy.:thumbsup2

We have that clock too! We went in 1992 to the BC on the all-inclusive plan...can't remember the name of it back then.

The platinum plan sounds great but I had a hard enough time eating 1 counter service meal, 1 table service meal and 1 snack per day on the regular dinging plan. I could never eat that much food each day.

can someone let me know if you thought it was worth it and what tours should we not miss..any details would be great.

Not sure about an answer to this but just wanted to say ENJOY!!!!
