Platinum Plan Advice Needed

As long as the economy holds the plan is to enjoy 3 nights in June on the Platinum Plan

even w/the 25% sale going on, a pricey splurge, yet would give us the chance to finally see all the cool stuff that is on my bucket list

now that i have the brochures in front of me, im overwhelmed w/prospect of trying to fit it all in...obviously, i won't.

just want to make sure im not missing any of the best-of-the-bestest offerings

so far, im thinking:

dolphins in depth

aqua tour (not sure if i can work them in both on same day or not?)

keys to kingdom or the longer 7 hour tour (not sure if family would be bored?)

FW cruise (illuminations or wishes, not sure which would be more enjoyable?)

segueway (somewhere, maybe the 1 hr indoor or the FW one?)

parasail for the guys

spa for me

cirque

Victorias & Alberts (again not sure if DH & DS-16 would care for the whole atmosphere-food? too fancy perhaps, although they don't mind wearing a suit & r used to cruise food ...read 16 should be old enough?)

either hoop de do or luau

narcoressee (sp) or CA Grill (which we've done before)

all advice is most welcome on any of the above or other tours, etc.

See what it would cost total for you to do individually instead of the Platinum plan. Are you paying for things you want have time to do? I think if you only did the extras and didn't spend much time at the parks it would be worth it.

i can't comment on much of your list but I can tell you that we love Narcoosie's! We liked Cali Grill also but Narcoosie's is definately our very favorite. We ate there twice during our Sep '09 visit and will return on this next trip coming up. The views were beautiful! We were seated on the lower level by the window the first time and the second time we were on theupper level. Both were great and we actually liked theupper level better. Service was terrific and the food was amazing. Almond cheesecake - WOW! and the shrimp appetizer - oh my goodness! I don't think you would be disappointed here.

I did this plan several years ago. The fireworks cruise is from Boardwalk area i think. My itinerary planners reserved dinning for me at the Steak House and then from there i took the cruise. I also had dinner at Narcossie to.

The Keys Tour is a nice tour.
I also had the spa treatment.

It gives you alot of food on that plan. I hope Wdw has fixed the snack point problem i had. It gave me snacks throughout the day but whenever i purchased one cm would say, "you dont have any snacks"

I dont know if things have changed, but i was able to do the Wishes viewing and the cruise. I guess they give you a choice.

I dined at V&A to and it was grand.
Cms told me i could eat all day with my plan.

u now get choice of either of cruises (wishes or illuminations, not sure which to select-thinking wishes combined w/dining @ Narcossie, sounds great to me.

re whether it's worth it or not, i think so if im looking @ it right. Im frugal, we've never done any of the tours, etc., not even a dinner show, so this would be such a welcome departure from feeling i have to commando to the parks.

factoring in the sale price our cost is just shy of $3K for 3 nights, 3 adults @ WL...initially sounded terrible .

picked it back up & crunched some numbers:

$3,000

- $1,200 to be applied to AP upgrade on MYW tix

= $1,800

- $500 (just rough estimate of what basic DP - CS/TS one - would cost us for 4 days, figureing we could easily stretch 9 TS over 4 days

= $1,300

- $500 worth of DVC points i'll be able to bank

= $800 extra OOP or approx $200 per day

which we'll certainly should be able to 'recoup' via activities
