Just found out that if your Platinum Passport is somewhat old, it isn't good for Aquatica, and would need to be upgraded. I'm not sure what the exact criteria is, but I assume if you paid anything less than the current price of $389.95 adult / 379.95 child/senior, it probably is not good for Aquatica without being upgraded.

I am considering buying Platinum Passes from Busch Gardens Williamsburg. If I buy four or more (which I will for my family of six), they are just $251 each. They are around $330 I think if you buy three or less. The website says they are good for all A-B parks, including Aquatica. You may want to purchase them from BGE to save yourself a few bucks. :thumbsup2

I believe those passes must be activated at BGW. Sesame Place had a decent discount with the 1 year Super Grover Pass for SW/BGT/Aquatiqa/Sesame Place. For $139 but the rep told it me it must be activated at the home park.

I find the reps on the phone at BG/SW tell you a lot of things that are probably correct technically, but in reality, they don't apply or aren't enforced a the gate. If you buy a Platinum Pass from any park's website (especially a park that is closed for the season), I would choose BGE/WCUSA because of the local benefits at those parks, but if I want to use it first at another park, I think I should be able to (and I can't find anything saying I can't on the website). I was hoping someone here actually had experience doing it, so I'd know for sure.

I bought platinum passes for BGE 2 Christmases ago. Since BGE wasn't opened yet, we were able to use our printed e-receipt for admittance to SW and BGT in March. Later in the Spring, we got the actual passes at Williamsburg. My passes expire at the end of March. I was told that I can't use them for admission to Aquatica next week, so I bought tickets online.
