It looks as though you can purchase this at BGW for $299 AND its good for 2 years from purchase date. It also appear to cost over $400 if purchased at BGT. Has anyone ever bought and used this? It seems like it would be a great deal - we could have a vaca in FL, VA, CA, TX, and take our granddaughter to Sesame Place all in the span of 2 years. And parking is included? I would love to hear more!

Platinum Passes cost differently depending on where your "home" park is. Platinum includes saved seating at shows, as well as ride again privileges ; and parking too of course! But the parking might only be good at your home park. I could be wrong though.

When we bought ours it was based on your address. You had to live in a certain zip code to get the Virgina price. Virginia is cheaper because they are only open part of the year. We do get to park free at all parks.

Help me to understand this. i will be in the San Antonio area for July and Aug and was going to buy the Annual pass.

Then in Sept I will be group leader for a group from work and we are going to Sea World Orlando.

Would i be able to use my San Antonio AP in Orlando also or would I still need to buy tickets for Orlando?

I have been trying to figure it all out myself but I am so confused.

You would have to buy a platinum pass instead of just an AP.....but it would then be good for 2 years AND good at all 9 parks.

If you buy the 2 year pass you are covered. If you buy the 1 year pass I think u get a discount on the other parks.

It does look like you could buy a ticket at SWO for 1/2 price though with an AP.

Thank you so much for that information. Now if you can help me with one more thing. The San Antonio one says 20% off food. Would that include the all day deal meal thing? The Plat pass says 10% off in Orlando.

When I go with the work crew, we will want to be pinching every penny we can as a few of the people don't make a lot of money, and have never been on vacation in their entire lives, so they will not notice penny pinching as that is their way of life. So I think if we can get the meal deal at a discount that would work out great.

We have the San Antonio platinum passes. I just checked the member site and it is 20% off the all day meal deal.

I'm a little bit late to the discussion, but I looked at the Williamsburg premium pass. According to this website http://commerce.4adventure.com/estore/scripts/skins/bgw/TicketsPassportBuilder.aspx, the premium pass covers all 9 parks and includes general parking at all 9 parks for free. You have to activate your pass in Williamsburg before you can use it at other parks. It appears you will not be able to use the front of the line privilege at the parks in Florida, but it sounds like a great deal.

My DH and I were trying to decide where to go on vacation. I'm lucky because he leaves vacations things up to me. I was torn between VA Beach and Orlando. Since I found out about this awesome deal that is good for 2 years, I think VA Beach sounds like the way to go. I can't wait!!! :woohoo::woohoo: Thanks for posting your question!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

Thanks OP and others!

We are planning to go to SW in Jan 2012 but we also were just talking about going to Busch Gardens (VA) this summer and maybe adding BG-FL in Jan, too...I need to look into this as the platinum pass may make more sense for us. I wouldn't have thought of this if not for this thread!:thumbsup2

look at super grover thread above. it is plat pass. all plat passes get you free pref park at all 9 parks.

Thanks for posting about the Super Grover. I will keep that in end mind when my passes from BG Williamsburg expire.

So, DH and I decided to go to Virginia Beach for vacation. We stopped at BG Williamsburg on the way and had a blast. We went on a Tuesday and hardly anyone was there. Most rides were walk-on. It's been 15 years since we been there, so we haven't been there since they opened Alpinegeist. I rode Griffin and loved it. I rode Apollo's Chariot and thought my head was going to fall off. I guess that's what I get for laughing at Fabio and the goose. My favorite ride was Roman Rapids--I got drenched. It was much better than Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom.

I'm so glad we went. Thanks to everyone who posted about the platinum pass/Super Grover. I have never been to Sea World and can't wait to go in the next two years.

Glad you had a great time!

Fabio .. heh heh;)

I can't ride that w/o thinking of him...

I am SO glad I read this thread!

We are three hours away from Sesame Place! So I can save $200 on the cost of two annual passes. ($200 each instead of $300 each!)

This gives us access to Seaworld and Aquatica for our trip in November AND access to Busch Gardens and their waterpark in Virginia all summer long. Plus we may go to Orlando again next Halloween and it'll be covered then too!

Fortunately, my DD13 is a child at heart and is actually looking forward to a day next month to hang out with Cookie Monster at Sesame Place in order to get the tickets activated!

Thanks for this note on "Home" park advantages!!
