I have seen conflicting reports about Platinum Check-in at Port Canaveral. Is there a Platinum member who has recently checked in at PC? Do we check in with Concierge as in the past or has that changed? Also, we have another cabin linked with ours (2 passengers). Do they have to check in separately? The last cruise we booked was out of Miami and the port was total chaos. We went to the regular Castaway Club check in as my non-Platinum parents (80+ years old) were linked to our reservation. The CM gave them a #1 boarding card but was not sure if it was because they were older and looked overwhelmed with it all or if they received it because they were linked to our ressie.

Thank you:)

We are platinum and just cruised on the January 7th sailing. We checked in at the concierge desk and received boarding 1, they were already on like number 5 or 6 so they let us board through the concierge area and we were on the ship within 5 minutes, quickest boarding we ever had!
Sorry, cannot help with the linked reservation part, we were just one stateroom.
Have a great trip!

In PC, Platinum checks in, in the Concierge/Platinum area. If they aren't in your cabin, they are supposed to check in at their appropriate areas so if they are first timers or non-Platinum CC'ers they'd check in elsewhere (in the other area to the left when you come off the escalators). I would lean to your parents were given #1 with you based on the situation, but that was an exception, not the rule. I know others have reported they've done the same but technically if they aren't in your cabin with you, they should check in separately and board separately and the rule is that you board with the highest number, not the lowest number, if you want to board together. That's the way it should be done at least :)

Hope this helps,
Heather :)

We recently sailed and checked in at the concierge as Platinum. It did have a bit of a line so you could take whatever line is the shortest I imagine. You will be boarding #1 - my favorite perk of Platinum. :)

Yes, you still check in at Concierge and it is up to the person checking in if friends/family can check in with you. I have been platinum for many many cruises and sometimes they turn friends/family away and if not busy they check in with us. However, we always have them just come in on boarding group 1 with us. That has never been an issue.
