We have an upcoming stay in a DVC Poly Studio. Last we were there, the cupboards was stocked with paper plates and plastic utensils. Can we call housekeeping and request plates and silverware that are not disposable? Thanks!

This was 18 months ago, we did ask for a few plates, etc and got them at BLT. Even in a studio we do a little bit of cooking. And heating up soupy like items don't work well with paper with cooking or eating.

You might have better luck with this by asking your question on the DVC resorts board. I've never tried calling to request regular plates and silverware. I hate that we get paper and plastic, so among what I pack is a regular coffee cup. Then I usually leave it at the resort for the next guest.

I requested real coffee mugs at Poly and housekeeping brought them right away. Not sure about the plates, etc.

We are a couple that does resort stays and always eat at least breakfast and lunch in the room. We always call first thing to get real silverware, plates, bowls and usually a cutting board and good knife. Housekeeping has anything you need that would normally be in a one bedroom or larger.

our DVC stat at riviera end of august had 'real' plates and sliverware. I was suprised to see it.
we've had 2 stays at SSRS that used paper plates
