Plastic cupcake domes - do most places have them?

I know if you grab a cupcake out of the coolers at most QS places they are already in the plastic to-go domes, but what if you pick one out of a display case. Do they usually put them in the domes for you?

As I've said a bunch of times, I have a hard time with the cupcakes being kept so cold at WDW, altho I understand why they do it. So I like to take a cupcake home with me to eat later (once it has come to room temp). Gosh - love me some cupcakes! :P

I have been taking cupcake photos this week but have not asked that question. I will ask from now on. I believe cupcakes are in domes at all Starbucks.

I have gotten cupcakes on plates but have not specifically said I was taking them To Go.

First report:

Boardwalk Bakery said they would put the cupcake in a big cardboard box.

Gift shop on the Boardwalk has the plastic domes (and usually a better cupcake selection than the bakery).

Last year, I had a few snack credits left and we were leaving. I was staying at the Contemporary and the Contempo Resort has a lot of nice cupcakes and I wanted to take some back home (we were driving so not difficult). I ended up getting about 4 cupcakes and they put them in the plastic domes without me even asking for them. All I told them was that I wasn't eating them right away and would be traveling with them. I was really just looking for a box.

Big Top Souvenirs in new Fantasyland has plastic domes. Also the best cupcake i have had here in a long time. Chocolate cake, big amount of peanut butter frosting, circus peanut on top. Like the old school cupcakes. (Lots of the new ones have crunchy balls around the edges, not much frosting, and they slap some decorative thing on top.)

Really?? That's good to know. We will be staying at the Boardwalk. Will be great to grab one on the way to our room in the evening.

I like a lot of the cupcakes in Epcot, so that's what I was thinking of. Bringing on "home" after our evenings there. (Hope they still have that tiramisu cupcake over in Italy! And those carmel cupcakes in Germany!).

I guess they have gone up in price since our last trip (2017) and will surely go up again before we get there in 2020. Those babies need that dome protection!

Stopped in these places today. They all sell cupcakes and all have the plastic clamshell take out containers:
- Prairie Outpost and Supply in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom
- Confectionery on Main Street in Magic Kingdom
- Contempo Cafe in Contemporary Resort
- BVG gift shop in Contemporary Resort.

if you feel like walking, yacht club, beach club and dolphin have cupcakes. I did not see any at the swan.

Sunshine Seasons had some sort of container to take a cupcake to go a few years ago. I don't remember the exact type.
