Plans?! What Plans?!?! An Oct 2012 TR. 11/17 - Final Update!

I've actually never seen the trolley show! Isn't that weird? I know the full song so it's really a mystery to me how I still haven't seen the show in person. :lmao:

Ahh, Splash is the best.

So sorry your husband wasn't feeling well! :(

Great trip report :)

I finally got caught up and can't wait to read more.

I love Epcot :) it's my favorite park. The restaurants are the best.

Keep up the great work on these reports.

Oh so jealous, I wanted to do that. It looked like so much fun and good drinks.
I love Main Street Bakery. YUM!!!
Cute Trolley show, I have never seen it.
Great pics and updates. I was looking for me in the background but didn’t see me. LOL

hi Everyone!! Sorry its been so long since I posted! I made a trip to SoCal to see my DH! I know, he's not supposed to be in SoCal but its a LONG story on why we met up there!

I'm back and not going anywhere for a few weeks. Although I have a horrendouse work schedule coming up soon! They made a Boo-Boo with the schedule and I am scheduled 8 days in a row!! This is a Boo-Boo because they have to pay me premium pay for that 8th day!

But anyways, after some replies I will continue with the TR!

I didn't know the name of the Main Street Trolly show - I've learned another new thing! Yay for Splash x 2 and BTMRR but boo for Hunter not feeling well. I see some chill time at the Hall of Presidents?? Wild guess there. :)

Splash was fun (and non-soaking! lol) Nope, no Hall of Presidents!

Yay for getting a few rides in...but sounds like you'd have to take it a bit slower after Splash and Big Thunder Mountains!

Hmmm...Haunted Mansion?

I think it was a different song for the fall! I was glad I caught it!

The F&W classic was awesome! I keep thinking of trying to go again next year but we really need to work on saving money so that isn't going to happen I don't think!

Were you at MK that day?!!?

Caught up! I love all of the empty looking park photos!

The park wasn't too crowded that day but for certain reasons we didn't get much done...

So I had last left you hanging with what calm thing we would do next...

No one guessed it! We took a trip on the Liberty Bell!

ry%3D400

Here are just a bunch of pics we took as we sailed around Tom Sawyer Island.

After that calming excursion it was time for Lunch. I had scheduled Liberty Tree Tavern for when they opened as I thought it would be our first meal of the day. Turns out DH's stomach still wasn't happy and he wasn't all that hungry now.

But for the full review turn to my Dining Review!

Ok, so my guess was wrong. ;) Liberty Belle - what a great way to chill! As many times as we've been to WDW, we've never been on the riverboat. I will have to remedy that sometime soon! :)

Great photos of the Liberty Belle/Tom Sawyer Island! I haven't gone over there in years, but it is so pretty. Too bad about your DH not feeling well, I hope that turned around for him!

Did you remedy that on the last trip?!?!?

Thanks! I've never actually been over to the Island (at either WDW or DL!?!) but I love the boat rides as a way to chill and get out of the crowds!

I'm resurrecting my thread from the depths of despair! I need to get cracking on this or it's gonna take me 5 years to complete! :rotfl2:

I've actually been working like crazy and my only real time off has resulted in trips to see my husband or to Disneyland! At least I am getting some Disney Fix!

When we had finished lunch and departed the restaurant we came across the Main Street Marching Band (But not on Main Street?!?) We stood there for awhile listening but I only have the one picture as we were standing behind them...

ry%3D400

My DH still wasn't feeling well and was really not wanting to do anything. I suggested the Haunted Mansion, guaranteeing him that it would be okay, no wild turns or anything.

The Wait Time said something like 40 minutes. I thought it had to be wrong! Lol. Yeah, it really wasn't wrong. But I wanted to see the interactive queue so we went that route.

I liked the interactive queue. It seemed as if the musical wall worked better on one side than the other however.

Finally we made it into the Stretching Room.

I did not get any pictures on the ride as I actually wanted to just sit and experience it!

When we were done here DH's stomach said enough and we decided to head for the exit.

Along the way we came across the Dapper Dan's though and we can't just walk by!

Once the Dan's were done we headed for the exit. I was sad to be leaving without having done very much but on reflection we actually did get quite a bit accomplished. And some things were even on my "I hope we are in the right place at the right time list" Such as the Trolley Show, the Main Street Band, and the Dapper Dans.

Once we excited we went to guest services and had our passes re-printed and this time I knew to keep them away from the magnets!

New passes in had we headed to the bus stop to catch the CSR bus. DH immediately crawled into bed for a nap. I did a few quiet things around the room and also took a short nap!

Hi Paula! Glad to see you updated! I know you have been working a LOT but glad that your down time is filled with some D-land trips! :)

And no, we still have not been on the River Belle (Liberty Belle?) boat. Next time!!!

I love that you can't plan some of the great experiences with your trip such as the trolly show and Dapper Dans. Even the antics of the Citizens of Main Street.

I hope your next installment finds Hunter feeling better.

Yay for an update!!! :goodvibes I've always wanted to go on the Liberty Belle, but it was down for a refurb the last time we were there!

Love the new HM queue - so cool! Hopefully DH was feeling better soon!!

Glad to see you are back updating! :goodvibes

We are big fans of the new interactive queue at Haunted Mansion. My DS really loves it in there, especially pushing on all of the books on the bookshelf.

I love when we catch the Main Street Band! Interestingly enough, we have only ever seen them in Liberty Square as well. Maybe it's time for a name change? ;) And you gotta love the Dapper Dans! One of my favorite parts about walking around Main Street. Really really love stopping to see them at Christmas time too when they are singing carols. :santa:

Hope the nap helped your DH to feel better.

Working a lot is an understatement! (I finally have a day off after working the last 13!!) I have however taken 2 trips to Disneyland and a trip to see my husband so it hasn't been too bad!

There is always those "next time things!" Thankfully there is or we would never go back!

It's always a bummer when something is down for a refurb!

The HM queue is cool! But I would have appreciated it more if the line was shorter! lol

Glad to see you are back updating! :goodvibes

I hope I can keep updating. Work has been crazy busy leaving me exhausted and not wanting to do anything inbetween!

Too funny that the Main Street Band wasn't in Main Street for you either!

When the alarm went off we both were feeling better. However, it then meant it was time to eat again. We had reservations at Yachtsman Steakhouse. This was not one of our favorite restaurants on our 2009 trip but I had booked it to give it another chance as it always ranks high on Dis Reviews! To get to our reservation we took a route we ended up taking quite often this trip! We hopped on a bus from Coronado Springs headed to Hollywood Studios and then on a boat to get us to the Yacht Club.

While waiting for our boat at Hollywood Studios we admired the sea life...

ry%3D400

Can you see it?!?!
ry%3D400

How about now?
ry%3D400

Now?!?
ry%3D400

Yup, I spent the time trying to get a picture of a turtle! Quite difficult!

Soon however we were on the boat heading to our destination...
ry%3D400

Boardwalk...

Yacht Club
ry%3D400

And from here I will skip to my dining review!

You can find the Yachtsman Review here.

After dinner we decided to head back to the hotel to relax in the hot tub...

However, when we made it back to the room my husband decided he just wanted to crash for the night so we headed to sleep instead.

Here is the original plans for the day.
ry%3D400

However, I knew that there was no way we were going to make it to Kona in time for a 7:30 breakfast so I had called to cancel it the night before. My husband however thought this meant we were sleeping in and I had a hard time getting him up to get ready. I had to inform him that I had canceled the breakfast so that we could make it Rope Drop at Epcot. However I think we were a good 45 minutes to an hour late before we entered the park.

Even though we were running behind I still wanted to get some pictures!
ry%3D400

but Hunter was all like, I thought you wanted to get going so lets go!

So we headed towards the Land to get a Fastpass for Soarin' And this is where my disappointment for the day began... The fastpass wasn't good till several hours later which completely threw my plans!

I knew we had to ride Living with the Land this time. We had skipped it in '09 and we really shouldn't have as Hunter was terribly disappointed in Epcot last time but I think it was simply because we didn't do enough there! I tried to remedy that this time but we still missed a great deal.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Humongous lemons!
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Thats a big bunch of Basil!
ry%3D400

I enjoyed the trip through “The Land” and thought it was interesting to see all the different ways the plants grow!

I then figured since we were in the Land we minds well grab a little something to eat. There won't be a dining review for this one (at least not a complete one) as I only took one picture!

My berry croissant bread pudding.
ry%3D400

The berry croissant bread pudding was good but I feel it needs some sort of sauce or more berries to make it even more appealing!

Hunter had the breakfast platter. It had eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuit... It was actually quite tasty and would be worth ordering again!

From The Land (as it was not yet time for out FP's) we headed to the Seas. I had intented to ride Nemo with barely any wait and then move onto the aquariums. However upon arriving the wait listed was 40minutes! What the $@$# :crowded: I couldn't believe it. I was starting to walk away from the line and figured we would just go in the back way to look at the Aquariums however my stubborn husband that he is said you want to ride it, we'll wait and proceeded to get in the horrifically long line! So wait we did... Finally it was time to ride Nemo... And what a quick little trip that was! And then we were deposited out to look at the aquariums.

ry%3D400

My DH loves sting-rays so that is what I have pictures of! :rotfl2:
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

More aquarium to come!

Here we go with a few more pictures from the aquarium,

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Look at all the Nemo fishies!

After perusing the aquariums there was one more stop I had to make in the Living with the Seas Pavilion. I HAD to spend some time...
ry%3D400

Yes, I love Turtle Talk with Crush.
However we seemed to have just missed a seating so had some time to kill. The last time we were there Mr. Ray's Lagoon (the aquariums right in front of Turtle Talk) had a lot of sting-rays in them. This time there was only a few.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Next it was time to communicate with the under the sea world through Crush!
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Soon Dory joined us too!
ry%3D400

Opps! Smooshed Dory.
ry%3D400

From the Seas I am pretty sure we moved to Journey into Imagination, however I don't have any pictures of this so don't quote me on it!

The next thing I do know we did was catch the Jamminators F&W gig.

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

As corny as they are it got a smile out of my DH!
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

After the Jamminators it was FINALLY time to use our Soarin' Fastpasses!

As always we enjoyed the ride over California. (I believe if I am solo though I will skip Soarin' as I can ride it in DL with far less wait!)
After Soarin' I fully expected to head to the World Showcase and begin out tour around the world. My DH had other plans though. He found a bench and sat down and there we sat just people watching for about an hour. Granted it was in the shade! But it wasn't my plans!!!

Finally I convinced him to head to the World Showcase!

We stopped at the Hawaii both and ordered the Pork Slider and the Mai Tai.
ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Then to Greece where we enjoyed the Spanakopita
ry%3D400

And the Griddled Cheese
ry%3D400

Some Wine!
ry%3D400

Then we moved to Canada where I tried to balance way to many items while my DH held our table!
First the Filet with mushrooms and Truffle Sauce
ry%3D400

Sausage with Polenta
ry%3D400

Wine
ry%3D400

Cheddar Soup! (and the teeny tiny ice wine!)
ry%3D400
