What are the things children do not want to miss!!

This will be their first trip, we really want it to be special, they will both have their tenth birthdays whilst out there.

At SW I would allow PLENTY of time at Shamu's happy harbour, DG's son Gus could spend hours in this place. If you've got APs you can let them have a couple of shows, 3 or 4 attractions, feed the dolphins/seal/stingrays and an hour or so in the play area ( perhaps refreshing yourselves with some hospitality ) over 3,4 or even 5 days while giving yourself time for shopping or the pool to make a reasonably relaxing day for yourselves, while the kids still feel they have had a "parkday" and they have tired themselves out into the bargain.

Gus's favourites tend to be the "climbing rope" type buildings fortunately they are some really good ones at USF, AK, SW and probably his favourite is the one at Busch Gardens.

It's not easy to advise on 9 Yr olds, some are big enough and brave enough to go on the big coasters ( and love them) some are too small or too timid. I'd start easy and build them up to see their tollerance, it's also the case if you stick em on Hulk and DD first day and they like those experiences, everything else is going to be a little tame afterwards.

Like Vernon says, it's difficult to judge which rides 9 year olds would like. I'm just back from Orlando, where my daughters were 7 and 11. They didn't enjoy IOA as much as the adults, except for the water rides. AK, Zoe (7) loved the Primeval Whirl. Seaworld, they both loved the Sealion and Otter show, and you'll love the pirate mime artist. My girls loved Typhoon Lagoon. I'd advise against Epcot. It's too much walking, and in my opinion, not as child friendly as the other Disney parks.

Their favourite places to eat were; MacDonalds, of course. The outlet at the junction of International Drive and Sand Lake Road has the largest play area. It's good for vegging out. Cafe Tu Tu Tango, for the entertainment, rather than the food. They had their faces painted and charactures done. Chef Mickey's they loved. The 50's Prime Time Cafe is ideal. They get to see the adults being told to mind their manners, and in my case, wear a bib. If you go there, make a note of the colour of the soap !
