:sad1: I planned my trip Thanksgiving 2007 for Christmas 2008. I got my sister and family on board, checked out pricing, resort vs. resort etc. By January, I realized tht Christmas week was way to expensive, but still wanted to see the parks/resorts decorated for the holidays. We changed plans to Thanksgiving week. More resort pricing, dining plan worthyness, etc..

By Feb 1, I was ready to book. I called Disney for my stay at the Poly, only to be told it was not available. I ended up booking the Contemporary. I called every morning to check if anything opened up at the Poly. I finally got lucky in March. I switched hotels then went to add dining/tickets. I was told I needed to go through AAA for the package. I called AAA, booked everything then got to work on my ADRs. I studied the restaurants, planned the parks, got together with family to discuss and in May was ready to reserve.

I finished the ADRs, changed a few things throughout the following weeks, added some water sports for the teens, ordered Disney T-Shirts, sunglasses, wallets, etc.. for the family.

Its now the end of July and I have nothing more to do but sit and wait for November!! I feel like soething is missing when Im not planning for Disney on a daily basis!!! Does anyone have a trip I can plan for you???!!!

I know how you feel. Waiting for November here too. Heck, I even have my basic planning done for my Dec '09 trip.

I am worried I will be in the same boat soon! the planning is so darn fun! We just booked RO at Poly for 2009. Wanna help me plan? What are best tips?:cloud9:

We just booked our Thanksgiving trip yesterday. But I dont know what i should start with first! What to pack, what to do, and anything along those lines. It does get pretty overwhelming but SOOO much fun! But i really wish November would come soon so i can see my buddy Mickey. :wizard:

I'm all set for our December trip, too. I'm keeping busy with designing t-shirts over on the DISigners board. They are so cool and so generous to share the custom ideas. Check it out. I know I have a new hobby!

Two words...Excel spreadsheet.
I have mine colorcoded by day, by hour, listing the park for each day, if it has EMH and times, meal times with ADRs and res#, shows, rides, etc. DH thinks I am nuts, and well, duh,( don't get me started on laminating), but if I am not planning a vacation I go nuts.
You have to be organized when going to WDW, there is just so much to do and it can get overwhelming. When the trip was over, DH was glad at how relaxing it was knowing what we were doing each day.:goodvibes
