I'm sure that is a huge part of it. I'm bribing him into liking Christmas with promises of cupcakes, cookies, and killer presents The funny thing is that even though he doesn't like Christmas, he loves the Christmas party at Disney. I think it might be the free cocoa and cookies



I wish we could do the real tree this year, but with our limited space and our cats, I think that might be a terrible idea. I have a pretty sweet $20 tree from Target that is the perfect size and it is already missing some of the "needles" on the very bottom My tree from 2 years ago was actually pretty awesome, all black and white, very simple, but pretty. It matched my black and white themed room. I'll post some pictures if I can find them!

we're not particularly christmasy either...I mean I like spending time with my friends and family, I love giving presents, I love baking and cooking...
but I HATE christmas music, I'm not particularly keen on all the decorating and such...

we do have 2 little tiny black trees that we put up on our mantle, but that's about it...
we're more Halloween/gothy fun time people...lol.

I usually love christmas music, movies, decorations. I'm just kind of blah with it. I don't have any family really except my daughter. Christmas makes me miss my Dad & my brother.

So I just had a job interview at Build-A-Bear Workshop. I go in, and they tell me the position is a "benched" position, which means I'll get one shift a week IF I'm lucky....I'm hoping that was just a scare tactic! I need money! Lol.

That really stinks I've been out of work since February and can't seem to get a job! It's really depressing honestly....makes me feel like I'm not good enough, and that's why I'm not getting hired...I know it's really the economy, but it still feels like that....

That sounds awful! I was sick the 2nd week of August, got better for a week and then it came back as strep and was 100 times worse. I was in tears because everything hurt, I couldn't breathe or swallow, it was bad. I think I have a sinus infection now, so it isn't as bad as last time, but I'm still not too fond of being sick.

I have honestly no idea. He doesn't really like any holiday, except for Thanksgiving because he likes to eat He gets all bummed around the holidays for some reason and he says its because he misses his family, but he spends Christmas with them I'm trying to get him out of his holiday funk but its not working I'm the complete opposite, I love everything Christmas.

I've already found a way to torture the cats if they decide to play with the tree...I'm going to dress them as santa (my cat, the biggest & oldest of the two) and santa's raindeer (DBF's cat, the littler, sick cat) They will never play with the tree ever again

BB doesn't like Christmas either. Acutally most holidays for that matter.
I swear he has seasonal depression. Currently we are not talking. He is just not happy with life. He isn't happy with anything. It will pass...

There are many good hotels here. Hiltons, Marriots, Ritz Carlton, etc. But if you're looking for a less expensive place you could try our version of inns we call Paradores.
Pretty much there are beaches and sun all the time, lots of good shopping and sight seeing. Tropical rainforest and good nightlife.

I worked on my room today. I am not very talented, but I like it okay. I bought some black netting for my canopy but not sure what I want to do yet. I am going to replace my lamp too. What ya think

Oh I love Christmas! It's my absolute FAVORITE time of year! I already have my music up also lol. I actually went to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra today (it's basically a band that plays rock versions of Christmas songs)

I've already watched Christmas with the Kranks 5 times, but that's the only Christmas DVD I own. I have a lot on my list this year! I also love the ones you mentioned, as well as those cheesy clay-like specials on ABC Family.



So.....my boyfriend came into town and took me to the Cheesecake Factory and to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra for my birthday. It was a rockin' night!
I even got a tour shirt signed by all the performers! I LURVE IT lol.

So when I was saying goodbye to my boyfriend, a little stray kitten (it can't be more than a year old) was outside. It looked JUST like my old cat, right down to the white paws that looked like mittens. Of course, it was to small to be my old cat, but it was still great. The kitten came right up to me and started to nuzzle my leg. It was the cutest thing! So I felt bad, and gave it a piece of bread since we had no tuna fish. It's now sleeping on the front porch. I asked my mom if we could keep it as a birthday present, but she said no. It makes me quite sad, since this little kitty will probably die without a good home. If I can't get her to say yes and it's still there tomorrow, I might call the Humane Society to come pick it up so it at least has a chance to survive. But I really want to keep it! :'(

awww. please make sure your humance society is no kill(ours in our old town wasn't...so we took strays to the local no kill shelter!) too bad she wouldn't let you keep the kitty! I wouldn't have been able to leave the poor baby outside no matter what..lol..that baby would have been inside with a big meal and sleeping in my lap in no time...lol

My DBF flew to Baton Rouge today for an interview. After last time neither of us are getting our hopes up (and to be honest, I'm not too excited about the possibility of moving there ) Have any of you guys been to Louisiana? I've never been, so I have no idea what its like there. DBF tried to tell me that since its the south, there will probably be killer sweet tea and apparently that should be reason enough for me to want to/be excited about moving there

Yes they will have killer sweet tea. Where are you from? Most of my family lives in Louisiana, although I've never lived there. Just spent every summer there when I was a kid. My Godparents live on the outskirts of Baton Rouge.
