Planning trip to Davy Crockett

Hello

I got great advice from this board last year when I planned a trip to DLP. We enjoyed it so much we plan to return again this year. This time my autistic son has opted to go too. Last year he was to frightened to fly and wanted to stay with his grandparents. I am so pleased for him as he adores everything Disney.

Since we have 3 children, we can only stay in the Explorer Hotel or Davy Crockett Ranch. I want to have the full Disney experience and prefer the idea of the DCR.

Am I right in thinking we will be able to do the Extra Magic Hours if we stay there? What about the GMF breakfast?

Does anyone have advice about the DCR and what I should bring with me?

Yes DCR guests are able to use EMH, but not GMFB since you collect your breakfast at the huts inside your cabin's trail.

The CM's at DCR have an organised activity every evening. Along with character meet n greet location

We took sharp knifes with us, only because I can't cope with knifes that wouldn't cut butter
Most of the items that you will need are provided.

The Hotel FAQ's will quickly become not usable if every query is posted on them. But equally a specific question for that hotel posted on an faq will get an answer
