planning trip question

I was trying to buy tickets for Harry potter and put park to park and their version of fastpass in the order and it went up to something like $2000 family of three for 4 days.
This was for October. Did I do something wrong or is that the normal ticket price?

Don't buy the express passes before you go. You might not even need them in October! Just purchase the normal tickets through www.undercovertourist.com

If you get there and decide you want express, just go to any store and add it on.

Purchasing tickets with unlimited express is not cheap! It gives you unlimited express line access to most rides ---the Harry Potter rides aren't included. However, by my calculations, for 4 days in October for tickets and unlimited express, it is $404/person including tax.

Why don't you see what the cost is to stay on site and get EP that way?

I am staying onsite at Cabana Bay. I went on orbitz and got a standard room in new section opening at end of month for $78/night. I am hearing different price ranges for unlimited express pass but even with the highest one it's still cheaper for us to stay at CB and buy EP passes than stay at deluxe hotel.

there are parts of september that do not have crowds.
kind of depends on your dates of stay to determine if the EP will be needed.

Not sure how long you will be visiting but Halloween Horror Nights will begin its first full weekend on September 25-28th. Meaning the Studios will close at 5pm for set up. If you are still going to be around then, plan accordingly.

I saw that HHN start weekend of 9/19. That is fine with us. We are going to HHN 9/25 because we are there till 9/27. Thanks for the info though.
