I've heard from various people that it is a good idea to plan your holiday on a spreadsheet. I've never done this before and it sounds slightly mad, but I wondered if anyone had a template or an example of one so I can see the sort of informtation I need to be putting on there. Thanks

Is there any chance I could get a copy?

Im in need of more planning tools (ive always thought sleep was overrated anyway!!) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yeah PM me your e-mail address and i will send what i prepared in 2005 and 2006.

I use the Passporter book

oh, Rob, you've started something now :rotfl2:

Could I have a copy as well please?!

Yes Carol,

Think before I send this all over the place i better clear up what i did.

I find searching all over the place for info on the holiday difficult enough and easy to forget especially leading up to a big holiday. So i prepared an 8 page excel document that brought everything together that i wanted for my holiday. There are I am sure more complicated or clever (whichever way you see spreadhseets) examples out there. Maybe some feedback from Pinklepurr361 and crystalprincess on whether this is what they were after will be good for other people before i send it on.

The sheets were made us as follows:

A daily plan for our personal holiday and indication of crowd index

A complete plan for all the park opening times and parades for each day we were there

A breakdown of Simon's up to date busy days work from ask daisy so we could easily change parks whilst we were away (as the book may be out of date)

Height restrictions

Restaurants we identified as suitable for us and links to their website menu's

Same again but shopping outlets and links to their store index

Personal things needed to be done or remembered (like carry on luggage restrictions in place last last year)

Details of Radio stations.

None of it is rocket science or has fancy Excel formula's etc and i am sure there are loads more people done the same. It works well for us and is fine to printout and take with you on holiday. If this is what people are after then i am happy to send it on.

But Rob, where's the 'change your socks rota' sheet? :rotfl2:

Sounds pretty comprehensive to me, I'm sure many will find it a great help.

Basic 2 day rota, correct way then inside out as opposed to other underwear which is controlled on a 4 day rota - correct way, back to front, inside out and inside out and back to front. :thumbsup2

This could also be doubled by visiting a number of water rides to replace the washing process .

If you would like - I can upload these spreadsheets to savefile and then anyone who wants to can download it from there.

If you would like to do this just send me the spreadsheets to mdobro2000@yahoo.com.
