I am beyond excited!!

One of my closest friends just told me that her parents have invited her and her 2 DD's (ages 8 and 4) to spend Easter week with them at their condo in Orlando! This is AWESOME because we will be there THE SAME WEEK!!! Our DD's (ages 6 and 4) are good friends with her girls and they will absolutely LOVE the fact that they will be there at the same time! (Shhhh....we're keeping it a secret from them;))

A few logistics before my question....

We arrive on Sunday and have (2) studios reserved with the DDP for 2 nights, 2 people in one room and 4 people in another. Then, we have the next three nights in a 2BR (at AKV-Kidani) without a DDP.

Here's my question....

I would like to invite my friend and her kids to spend an afternoon/evening (but not overnight) with us after we've checked into Kidani. Since we will only have 6 on our reservation, I would like to add her and her two children to our reservation so that they can enjoy the pool with us and partake in evening EMH if they like. I believe that it would also get them a parking pass too, if they needed it. As of now, I do not know how many days they are planning on going to WDW. They usually only do one park for one day so I don't know how many days they would be interested in visiting us.

Can I add them for just one day, without generating an entirely new reservation? Or would I just be better off adding them for the entire three nights, even though they will just be "day guests"? Is there anything wrong with this? I certainly do not want to do anything that is considered "shady".

Our girls are going to be SHOCKED:scared1::scared1: when they "bump into" each other at Disney World! Unfortunately, we won't be able to do the road trip together. We are all driving down from Michigan and leaving the same day, but she is leaving in the morning and we aren't leaving until the afternoon. I wish we could spend more time together, but since she will be staying at her parents' place and we will be travelling with my parents, we have our families to consider.

I didn't think it would be possible for me to be MORE excited about this trip....but now I am!:yay:

If you add them to the reservation, it would be for all nights. If adding them will not put you over the room occupancy, add them to the reservation. Since you are not doing the DDP once you move to AKV you don't have to worry about paying for them.

Go ahead and add them to the reservation. You have the room to do so and it benefits everyone during those days that you will be together.

You may find, once down there, that you want to see each more than just that one day and having them as part of the reservation makes it easy for everyone.

As you said, you will still be within occupancy limits so there is no reason why you can't do this.

Have a great trip!!!

This last trip I had one friend who stayed for two nights and then another friend showed up for a couple of nights. When L. left I took his key card down to the front desk and they were able to delete him and then add the incoming friend.

Since we had a 2BR and there were only 4 of us that stayed the whole trip, I actually could have added them with no problems since we were within the occupancy limits.

I have also added people at check in since sometimes we just aren't sure who is showing up (we have a lot of friends who live in FL and pop over for a day or two).

As long as you are not over occupancy, the front desk is very obliging.

Thanks, everyone!

I talked to my friend tonight and told her my ideas. She is pretty sure that they will only go to WDW for one day and do one park. I think I will wait a little yet, until we get closer to the trip, before I add them on. A lot of things can change in 93 days and 13 hours:laughing:.

As long as you weren't planning on doing the dining plan. If so, you'd have to add them for the entire stay.
