how did you plan out your dining credits? Mainly your quick service credits? Table service are set bc we have set reservations. But how did you go about planning out the rest? Pick which restaurants you were going to eat at ahead of time? Or just how many credits you will use each day.
We are a group of 7 people in 2 rooms? Myself husband and twins in 1 room and my parents and 3yr old in another room. I’m thinking my 3yr old won’t get his own meal for quick service as he would rather eat everyone else’s food then his own, can we use his for other meals like sharing a breakfast platter?
How does being in 2 different rooms work on the dining plan? Can you see all the dining credits on the Disney app if both reservations are linked to the same account?
I’m sorry this ended up being long I obviously have a lot of questions

I made up a spreadsheet with restaurants that I thought my family would like the food at and could eat. My DD eats mostly salads, SIL likes steak/Mexican, 8 year old DGD will only eat chicken nuggets, 12 yr old DGD is allergic to peanuts, tree nuts and sesame so she mostly eats pizza and chicken tenders at WDW.

I looked at recommendations from other DISers posts here as to what places were good, checked the menus and made a list for each park so when we were hungry I could have options ready. I also noted which places had AC for our September and October trips so we could get out of the heat for a bit.

We typically don't plan our credits out too specifically. Experience has told us we have never run out, but your experience may vary. Just an FYI, your 3 year old's quick service credit can used on an adult meal so don't feel obligated to get them a kid's meal.
As far as two rooms, in theory you should be able to click on each reservation in MDE and see how many credits remain. I say in theory because this did not work our entire trip over Christmas, but it has in the past. Worst case scenario, your remaining credits print out on the bottom of your receipts. Do be advised your credits aren't pooled between the two rooms. So grandpa and grandma will need to buy your three year old meals so the credits are straight. You'll also need two checks at TS restaurants as well.

Easy!

Snack for breakfast: - muffin, croissant, bagel, or French Pavilion has AMAZING items on their bakery and they only cost a snack credit!)

QS for lunch
TS for dinner.

We do it this way every year. The time between breakfast and lunch in only a few hours so the snack is plenty until lunch time. QS lunches contain A LOT of food and will definitly get you through until dinner time.

Thank you! That is an important piece of information to know (the needing 2 different bills). And knowing we don’t have to get my 3yr old a meal is good to know too. It seems like the closer we get to the trip the more nervous I get thinking there is some information I don’t know or don’t have.

If you go to a buffet your 3 year old will have to use a table service credit.
