These darn kids, always interfering with our DIS time! Mine are playing hide and seek and keep asking me to come find them. "In a minute guys"...20 minutes later..."in a minute guys"...15 minutes later..."yup, I'm coming in a minute..."
:rotfl:

I'm coming to the very quick realization that I might not get an update in before my trip to NYC. :scared: Work has been very, very, very busy - and I was on call this past weekend and worked over 10 hours, plus trying to get ready for our NYC trip...so many things to do.

I hope to give a little update at least - I have been trying to predict what EMHs are going to be in November, I noticed there is a pattern with the days (yes, I'm wanting to be as planned as possible that I looked into this...:rotfl: ), but I just have to sit down and figure it out. Another thing on the "Pre-NYC Trip To Do List". Seems to be growing and growing despite how many things I tick off it!

Off to do some MORE laundry...

Okay, so I am back on the DIS for a bit before bed, thought I would finally reply to all the posts. :) I plan to get the EMHs figured out tomorrow and if I can't, I gotta pick my days anyway so I am all set in 6 days when I make my ADRs! :dance3:

Hurray no snow. That picture is hysterical!

And it's been BEAUTIFUL this week! :thumbsup2

AMEN!!!
As an act of defiance, yesterday I put the winter boots away.

(P.S. Great picture of your DH! Very stylin'!)

I don't know what it's like down your way, but guess what I saw up here mixed in the rain this morning.

snow. :scared1:

I tried to pretend it was just some dandruff blowing through the breeze, but I came to the realization that it was going to take a lot more than Head 'n Shoulders to make that white stuff blowing in the breeze to disappear.

Sigh. The boots will stay put away, but the hats and mittens better not go too far.

Are you SERIOUS?! You guys got more snow?! Ugh! It's been beautiful down here-I even wore FLIP FLOPS on Monday! It rained today, but no way was it cold enough for snow. Please tell me you haven't gotten any more since....

Congrats on the extra week!

I've been to IoA and really loved it! We paid the extra $40 for the fastpass things that allow you into any ride any time once each. Loved that! They never marked it off on Jurassic, so we rode it 5 times as a walk-on.

Only thing was that we were there when Ellen was, and after waiting an hour in the Hulk line (before we purchased the fastpass things), they shut it down, and said it'd be down for an hour while they set up cameras and while Ellen rode.

Thank you! :goodvibes Though, we aren't entirely certain we are going to do it...the more I research, the more I'm thinking we should wait until DS is older to enjoy the rides...not sure yet though-haven't had time to really do enough reserach.

Whoo Hooo!!!!!!!!!! We are trying, for the first time, US and IOA. We are going the end of August before Disney. We opted for on-site because of the unlimited front of the line access. We can go to the parks early, ride all of the rides, explore and go back to the resort for pool time. Congratulations on your extended vacation. I'll report the ins and outs when we return. :thumbsup2

I like that about staying on-site too...not sure if we could swing it all-WL AND on-site at US. And, like I said before, we aren't 100% certain on the extension yet... But, I do look forward to reading about your stay!!
I'm in...popcorn::

WELCOME! Enjoy the craziness of planning with me! :yay: It's been slow moving lately because I've been so busy with work and real life-going on vacation and all that. But, it'll be back to normal planning soon.

Love that pic. Talk about Disney Bliss. He is the poster child. Too, precious.:)

Are you talking of my hubby in the gold Mickey ears? :rotfl:

Nope! I have always been a fan of Disney transportation! :thumbsup2

Oop! Must have been someone else then I was thinking of...hmmm...

That picture is hysterical!! :rotfl:

Now that is the reaction I expected!

:lmao: Too funny!

Today Henry was soooooo fussy, but I found out why after my DH had a "DUH" moment. He's teething! I can see a tiny white speck and feel it on the bottom right!

Enjoy your NY trip!

Thank you! I'm super excited! :woohoo: I get to see some friends, enjoy a few things I've never done and eat at some of my favorite places!

Disney planning and laundry... both never ending jobs! (At least one is a fun "job"!)

No more, just those few random flakes, thank goodness! Yesterday I actually wore shorts and flip flops. A little chilly, but I felt like laughing in the face of cool weather!

So glad you aren't getting more snow! It's fairly decent here in NYC, it's raining today, but yesterday and Saturday were both warm. Way to go on laughing at the cold weather with your flip flops and shorts!! :rotfl:

I hope you're having a great time in NYC...are you there?

Yep! I'm here! Having a great time. :thumbsup2

Have a wonderful and safe trip.

Thank you!!!

We are having a great time, we got into NYC on Saturday and surprised some friends-their faces were priceless! Yesterday we went to church and then went shopping for several hours. Shoe shopping of course...:woohoo: Today we may go to the Met, but it's raining and cool, so I don't know what our day will hold. I don't want Henry outside all that much in this weather.

My DH took a picture of a Hidden Mickey in the clouds on the way here...I am using my friends' computer, so I will share pics when I get back home - a mini-TR.

I make our ADRs tomorrow and that means only 180 days until Disney World!!!!

Glad you're having fun!! Enjoy your trip!

Oh, and good luck with your ADRs! Got it all figured out?

Thank you! Yep, I got them all figured out and DONE  (Except Yak & Yeti...which I'll explain in just a bit here...not sure if I'll have time right now, but my next entry will explain! ) Plus the internet here poops out aftera few minutes, very annnnnnnnoying!

Glad you're having a great time!!!!!

Thank you! :goodvibes

Enjoy the rest of your trip! Here's hoping for better weather.:goodvibes

Today is supposed to be 70, DH said it was really nice out when he went to get our coffee. I sure hope it stays that way...I'm daring to wear short sleeves and a skirt today...

05-13-2008 - ADRs are DONE!...almost

This morning I woke up to my sons hand on my lips, I opened my eyes and he grinned at me. It was one of the most pleasant ways to wake up! We usually don't let him sleep with us, but it's vacation, and makes it easy... so we lay in bed for a while and chit chat about breakfast and what the day holds for us. Then I realize IT'S 10:00 AM! I NEED TO MAKE OUR ADRs!! I flew out of bed and grabbed the computer to look up all our info....and the internet decides not to work. See, at my friends apartment she gets free internet from her work, which is literally across the street, so the connection isn't the greatest and poops out often. So, I reboot the computer while hubby brings in coffee and muffins-I get distracted with the warm deliciousness...then finally get online and get the info and start booking away.

We got everything we wanted with no problem!

The only thing is that Yak & Yeti doesn't do the 180+10 day deal...so I have to call back in 2 days again. No biggee, I like being told "Have a Magical Day!"

The other sorta weird thing is that with the Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose (or possibly all the places that do the package?) they only take dinner reservations until 4:00 pm. So we are doing an earlier lunch at 50's Prime Time and then an early dinner at Mama Melrose. Chances are we'll still be stuffed from Pot Roast and Smores, but it's vacation, we'll stuff it in. :rolleyes1

Here is the plan:

Arrival Day - Sunday, November 9:
Dinner: 'Ohana - 5:30 pm

Magic Kingdom Day - Monday, November 10:
Breakfast: Boma - 9:40 am
GARDEN ROOM TEA!!!! - 3:50 pm

Animal Kingdom Day - Tuesday, November 11:
Lunch: Yak & Yeti, AK - Gotta call back

No parks day - Wednesday, November 12:
Dinner: Whispering Canyon Cafe - 5:30 pm

Hollywood Studios Day - Thursday, November 13:
Lunch: 50's Prime Time - 11:00 am
Dinner: Mama Melrose - Fantasmic package 3:30 pm

Epcot Day - Friday, November 14:
Dinner: LeCellier - 5:25 pm

Going home day - Saturday, November 15:
Breakfast: Kona - 10:00 am

Only 180 days until we arrive!

Okay, I gotta fly before DH's head starts to spin...;) Today we are off to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens!

That'll light a fire under you!

ARGG!

We got everything we wanted with no problem!
Whew... Glad it all worked out for you!

Only 180 days until we arrive!
:cool1: :cool1: I just realized that I'm within a few days of the double digit dance! :cool1:

Okay, I gotta fly before DH's head starts to spin...;)
Isn't it fun to make DH do that?!?!

Today we are off to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens!

Enjoy the beautiful day there!! It's back to cold and rainy here.

Sounds great! I'm glad you got everything you wanted! Enjoy the rest of your vacation! :woohoo:

I had reserved almost the exact day at 50's Primetime (11:30) and Mama Melrose dinner package (3:30). Then after reading posts, I decided to cancel Mama Melrose's and try to watch Fantasmic on our own - you have to get there an hour early on your own and 30 minutes early with the package. Plus I read the seats that come with the package are NOT the best. So, we will stuff ourselves at 50's Prime Time and have a snack while waiting for the Fantasmic show.

We're baaaaaaaaaaack!

and work is NUTS!

I have lots and lots of pictures and some WDW trip-related info coming as soon as I can break away for a bit and spend some time on the DIS. Between 985 loads of laundry I need to do, a teething baby and clients yelling at work, I haven't gotten a whole lot of computer time in the past couple days. I think I'm due tonight! :goodvibes
