I really wanted to be laid back about this, but reading about wasting TS credits pushed me to it ;) . We will be doing the DP, So I'm joining the lemming run to have it nailed down by October/November when the magic 180 days arrives :confused3

My biggest trouble is most of the places we want to eat are either in Epcot or near the MK resorts, so when we're in MGM and AK we're most likely going to have to hop a bus. I will have to get ahold of a map for sure on that. But if anyone knows of the top of their head 'hey, that place is close to XX park' please let me know ;)

Heres my list of places to eat for sure:
Chef Mickey, Coral Reef, Kona Cafe, WCC, LeCellier, Storybook dinner/lunch at Norway
And maybe Ohanas or Marrakesh. Okay, probably Ohanas, I don't like the menu at Marrakesh but wanted to check out the bellydancers (I'm one too ;)

I figure we'll do our first night at Chef Mickeys, I think we *have* to spend our first night in the MK and Chef Mickeys will be a nice welcome. Night 2 either MGM or AK, so we'll be leaving the park regarless so either one of the resort ressies(Kona Cafe, WCC, or Ohana). Night 3 is Epcot and Coral Reef. Night 4 whatever we didn't do on night 2. The extra magic hours may make me change the schedule (not changing night 1 tho, thats a must)
The rest is all up in the air, we'll have 3.5 more days to do whatever we want to do again, or just chill by the pool and catch dinner in one of the parks later. Our last day we will probably be leaving for the airport right around noon so we will probably spend it doing anything last minute in the parks and can use an extra TS credit during the week.

I'm not worrying about CS cause I figure that we'll leave to the moment. Kids will probably want Restaurantosaurus in AK tho.

Oh, and I know you can go to Goofys candy co to redeem unused snack credits, what about unused CS credits?

And a dumb question. I'm intrigued by the 'glow-tini's listed on the menu and want to have one down there. But is it going to go away when the Year of a million dreams is over? :( if so.

Thanks everyone! And sorry for being so 'green'!

Your choices are good, I'm not a be fan of Chef Mickey's, would rather go to Ohana's.

we're going in april and i'm already thinking of where we're going to be eating, too! although i'm not making a firm decision until the april 2008 park hours are released so i can know what my park schedule will be. we ate at le cellier and kona cafe on our last trip and both were VERY GOOD! try the lapu lapu drink at kona......the best drink i've ever had! it's kinda pricey, but so worth it. i haven't tried any of your other choices, so i can't give you my opinion on those. i'm thinking we'll going to narcoosee's (again), liberty tree tavern, spoodles (which, by the way, gets pretty good reviews and is at the boardwalk, which is very close to MGM!), wolfgang puck cafe, mama melrose and ohana's. i can't wait.......10 months seems forever away, doesn't it????

It does seem like forever and I'm really excited myself. Sometimes I have to remind myself how far off this trip is, but I'm sure it will be time to make those ressies before I know it. I was at first worried about scheduling every meal as we may wake up and really be in the mood for something else. But I figure if thats the case I can see about switching that day and if we can't get in anywhere else at least we'll get something on our list. I have heard mixed reviews on Chef Mickeys but picked it more for the experience than the food.

Its crazy how much planning I'm doing tho, but I think planning is half the fun. I need to rein myself in a little until some of the park schedules come out. And I need a map so I can see which of our choices are closest to AK or MGM for those days.
And I wasn't planning on having much of an alcohol intake but with all the yummy drinks on the menus I've almost got something picked for each restaurant, lol. One of the reasons I want to go to Le Cellier (other than that I'm a steak lover) is they have the glow-tini and the have a kids drink with a glow cube too so my kids won't be all bummed that mom gets a 'cool' drink and not them.I want the 'something macaw' at Kona, the glowtini if they still have them, pina colava at the pool, pirate punch somewhere else, yummy! I'm a sucker for fun mixed drinks, in fact its about the only alcohol I like. I'll have to see if I can land a good pina colada somewhere as its my favorite drink, I like em nice and creamy.

me and DH split the "year of a million dreams blue glowtini" at sci-fi at MGM when we went in may and it was soooooooo sweet....i could barely drink it. it wasn't BAD necessarily, just too sweet for me. here's a pic (with flash and without).....

by the way, i've started an official april 2008 "doing the happy dance" thread. here's the link so you (and anyone else who's reading this and going in april 2008) can check it out. nobody's responded yet! i guess we're the only crazy people already planning our vacations 10 months in advance! :rotfl:
