We are planning our first trip to Disney world, but we want to make sure our son is old enough to enjoy it. He just turned five years old. Does anyone know how tall you have to be to ride most rides, and what the average wait time is in March.? If you could please email me back at karibill@sbcglobal.net. thank you

Check out allearsnet.com for height requirements. Our dd is 4 and will be almost 5 when we go in Aug. and this will be her third trip. She has already ridden a lot of things, but this time she'll be able to ride even more. she's almost at the 40' mark!! I can't help with crowds in March as I have never been at that time of year.

I sent an e-mail to you... I'm sure there will be plenty he'll be able to ride. We're also going to be there in March, but have never been at that time of year so I'm not sure of the crowds. Apparently it's "peak" season, so I would expect it to be busy! We'll see.... ;)

I would have to disagree with that "peak" season statement. I don't believe it really is because most of the kids are still in school. Spring Breaks do fall into that area but most spring breakers are at the beaches.

Whenever I have been there during that time I always found the crowds to be moderate to light.

I just said "peak" season based on the Disney website... That's what they're saying. :earseek:

I hope the crowds aren't too bad..... and I really don't want to be attacked by a bunch of cheerleaders!! We'll see soon! :D

We were there March 13-19 in 2000 (our 1st trip also) and it was complete and total crowded chaos! Strollers were constantly biting your ankles and you had to get a spot for parades 2 hours ahead of time. We had a great time, but nowwe go in December!

one major thing to remember: take the time and enjoy the park. Nothing's worse for the kid if you're doing Disney commando-style.
