Planning kit....what is it?

I have been reading that some brides are recieving thier planning kit from DFTW. What exactly is this kit and what does it contain? I am not sure I recieved this. Since my save the dates were sent I have recieved nothing from them. I called about getting a sample of the organ music and they sent that to me along with info on tuxedo rentals, kids night out and pastors to contact. Should I be asking my EM for a planning kit? I have been in the wish book, is that the kit? I am confused and concerned I am missing something. I wanted to ask on here first before I call my em as I am not sure what to ask.

Are you having an intimate or custom? I can only speak on behalf of the intimate package......I received a packet that had the music, pastors, floral option, and descriptions of enhancements, as well as a worksheet to fill out and return to my planner. It is about 26 pages in total.

If you are talking about a custom, I can't help you cause I don't know the procedure for that.....

I don't think there is a "Planning Kit" for custom weddings. We did not get one.... we just worked with our coordinator.

Have you created a wishbook on the disney wedding site? We used it and new sections became available after we were assigned a coordinator and then a planner.

You dont get a planning kit as such with a custom wedding. When i was about 8 months out my EM sent me a CD with suggested music on it and another CD with cake options on it but thats it. Everything else i have just worked with my planner on.

We had a whole bunch of email attachments, with drink prices, menu options, etc...also got the CD's music/cake pics...etc...I'm assuming that was our kit...

How long does it take to get the planning kit? About 3 weeks? I think my BF ordered it last night, but he won't admit it! I'm too smart and figured him out!
