Flight is booked, Hotel booked! We are staying onsite at DLH.

We are a family of 4 myself, DH, DD 7 and 11... arriving Saturday but staying off site and visiting USH prior to our hotel check in Monday Oct 27th.

Not sure if I should purchase 3 day or 4 day hoppers (visit on Monday arrival)?

Also I am having trouble wrapping my head around how Holloween week may impact our touring plans? Should we go to the Holloween party? (never been before) If yes, how does that change the tickets I purchase?

We will definitely do a character breakfast and wll plan most meals (combo of sit-down and CS) throughout our visit.

Flight leaves Friday 8am so we will not be in the park on Fridays.

Hello! It looks like our trips should overlap, as we plan to arrive on Oct 29.
The price difference between 3- and 4-day hoppers is only $78 (3 adults at $234 vs. $214, one child at $216 vs. $198 based on today's online prices, or $78 more for the four of you to get some extra time), so you might want to just go for the 4-day PH and give yourself options to go see the park that evening you arrive. (But I have a strong preference for giving myself all the options I could want to pop into the park even for just a few hours. You might not.)
OR
You could attend a MHP, for which you need to buy separate tickets at somewhere around $50-60 each. (We'll know more by the end of the month, we hope!) The day of the MHP, you can enter the park three hours before the official party starts, i.e. 3pm entrance for a 6pm party, 4pm entrance for a 7pm party. So my family is planning to rest up, maybe hit the beach the morning of the MHP we will attend, and then use our MHP tickets to get some (crowded) park time before the party, instead of using a day off our PHs *and* then using our MHPs the same day.
So you might get a 3-day PH and then a set of MHP tickets for your family.
The MHPs offer a parade and special fireworks show, and lots of villains to meet as well as regular characters like Winnie the Pooh or Mickey dressed up in Halloween costumes. It's also a chance to Trick or Treat in DL itself, and if you like, you can come in costume. (Adults normally cannot come in costume to the parks, but you can for the party.)
If you are NOT attending the MHP, when the party starts, you need to leave DL and either head out or head to DCA, where lots of others will also be going if they are not attending the MHP. So MHP days are days with higher crowds in the late afternoon as the party-goers arrive and then when the party starts and people who are not attending have to move on to DCA or elsewhere.

HTH!
