Planning for 2013....who else?

We are planning our 1st family trip in October 2013. I am so excited about taking our girls. All our family celebrations are in the fall within 46 days, my birthday, DD1's birthday, our anniversary, DD2's birthday and DH's birthday. It will be a mulit celebrational trip. Right now our girls are almost 4 & almost 1so in 2013 they will be 6 & 3. We are hoping to have a new addition by then as well who will hopefully be close to 1 1/2.

We are planning on camping ( we have a fifth wheel) at the Wilderness Lodge for 2 weeks. Some friends of ours are coming as well with their 2 kids who will be 5 1/2 & 3 1/2.

I have only been to Dinsey twice, once when I was 10 with my parents and once 10 years ago with an old boyfriend. It looks like sooo much has changed since I last went and I have so much to learn before we go! I am looking forward to hearing about everyone's plans because I need all the help that I can get!!:)

We are going in May 2013. This will be my granddaughter Claire's 2nd trip (she's 5 now) and my granddaughter Emma's 1st trip (2 1/2 now). I took Claire and her mom (my daughter, Jennifer) 2 years ago in December and Claire has talked about nothing else but going back to Disney!! She watches the WDW planning videos like they were movies, saying "I rode that" or I didn't want to ride that". :cheer2: We are thinking about adding the Disney Cruise to our trip. I've done it twice already and loved it but this would be the kids' first cruise! I know they would love it!

Add us to the list. We are planning to go for 2 weeks and visit family for a few days but stay the entire time at a Disney resort. With 5 of us it gets expensive especially since we are staying club level at the Poly and Beach club.

Count us in also. We were going to go December 2012 but pushed it off a year, so we will be going December 2013 the day after Christmas.

Trying to decide whether to camp at Fort Wilderness, stay at either Pop Century or Arts of Animation or stay off site at Wyndham Bonnet Creek which we did last October and it was actually really nice there.

Count us in! We are planning a June 2013 trip! My oldest DS will be graduating high school so we will be celebrating that:woohoo:

We just got back from our trip...stayed at SoG, used military tickets, brought a lot of our food and kept it simple (well, one character dining and a few other table service meals!) We had an AMAZING time! My boys won't stop asking if we can go back!

If I have my way, we will go back during the first two weeks of December. Nothing like being in the World at Christmastime! :goodvibes The week after Thanksgiving is pretty low in terms of crowd levels, too.

But we are considering spending more money this time...maybe staying in a deluxe, using the meal plan, etc. Our boys are rallying for the Contemporary (because the monorail goes through it...duh...lol) and the Polynesian (because we could go to a Luau...lol.) Hubby wants to stay at the AKL to see the animals. (We LOVE LOVE LOVE SoG, and I'm sure we'll look into it...but we've never stayed in a Disney hotel as a family.) But we will also have to fly to Orlando...something we've been lucky enough to avoid since we've lived in NW Florida for our last few trips! So that's an added expense.

We are adopting another son, and our hopes and prayers are that the adoption will happen and be finalized sometime in '12 or '13....so a December trip would be the perfect way to celebrate our new family of five's first Christmas together!

US!

After begging DH for 3 years to go, he finally agreed. I wanted to go Jan of 2012 but in order to save enough we will have to wait longer. And since I want to go in Jan. It will be Jan of 2013. I can't wait, I am so excited. The kids will be so thrilled when they find out!

My gosh it seems like it is sooo far away. We are going for our 15th wedding ann. So, we will be there Aug 22, 2013! We have stayed at POR and at the CB and we loved them both. I guess we do have a bit of time to decide where we stay next.....:rotfl:

Just put up our countdown chain for our next trip in 2013 - over 700 days away!! We've been counting since 1000, but for some reason now it seems so close!:confused3

Just wondering if anyone has started packing!! I know we've made oure pre-ADR list!! Hoping the prices don't go up too much!!

I cry everytime another friend tells me they're heading off to Disney and we can't go - again!!!

WOW! You sound like me!! :lmao:I have a countdown on my computer (also over 700 days), I have an pre-ADR list ready, and yes I have started packing (just the extension cords, adapters, clothes pins, etc...). :cheer2:Come on August 2013!!:cheer2:

I'm thinking that maybe I should get in on this thread. Even though we are going in 32 days :goodvibesbut after that we are going on the 2 year travel plan:lmao:

No more yearly visits :sad1:But at least with this thread I will have that to look onward to in 2013! :upsidedow

We are going in 2012 - staying at one of my dream resorts, the WL!!!! I am so excited as 2012 will also be our longest trip - 9 nights!
But...we are also already planning for Christmas at WDW in 2013!!! We will likely stay at POP since the prices are so high during Christmas, but we want to be there during Christmas and NYE (we've done Thanksgiving).

I was hooked on Disneyworld before me feet ever touched Disney soil :rotfl:. I love planning so planning a WDW vacation for a party of 10 was right up my alley.

It's too soon to even make resort reservations, but that hasn't stopped me from thinking about Disney and my 2013 trip every, single day. I won't be traveling with as large of a party as my first trip. 2013 trip's party will be significantly smaller, a party of 4 and I am super excited because my best friend in the entire world and her 18 year old daughter will be joing my 2.5 year old daughter and me . I know we'll have a blast together so I can't wait!!!

Since my first trip was at deluxe accommodations, I'm looking to stay deluxe again. I fell in love with Saratoga Springs - we stayed in the Treehouses, but I plan to try a different deluxe for this trip. My BFF wants to stay at AKL, but I want to try the Contemporary since it's a monorail resort. We'll stay in a deluxe resort rather than a villa so each parent and child can have a full or queen sized bed rather 1 parent and child having to sleep on a pull-out. Hopefully we'll get a 30 - 40% off pin or public discount and can add the dining plan.

So, here's a list of what I know for sure regarding the 2013 trip:
1). Accomodations - AKL or Contemporary (prayerfully they'll offer a room only discount)

2) When - mid May to early June (would like to stay 8 nights)

3) Who - BFF and daughter accompanying my daughter and me

4) Will probably add the dining plan

:thumbsup2 Count us in. We're going to be a party of 9 (hopefully) or it could just be us 4 but either way my GS and I are going, regardless of what anyone else decides. :lmao: Late July to early August that way its my birthday as well as my GS! Can't wait. We are waiting for him to be potty trained at least.;)

Supposed to be planning 2013 for a party of nine.. hubbys family. Not sure I want to be in charge... they won't even decide on a season... gonna be hard to get things done. They haven't been since 1985 and his sisters kids have never been... wish I could sprinkle some of my Disney Fever on them and get them motivated! :goodvibes

Ugh. No way I would take that on. But, since you are, I say you set a deadline to have a "season" picked and then the same for the exact dates so that everyone can do their own transportation booking if you're not driving. Then I'd narrown down where to stay and tell everyone to book their own room. Then I'd pick park days and make the intinerary and dining plans, send it to everyone and if they don't like it, you can say, this is what my family is planning to do and you are free to come with or we'll meet you dinner. Sounds harsh, but that's A LOT of people to try to please!
