Hi everyone,

I'm glad I found the board. It will be great reading about the resort.

I have a really important question, LOL. How big is the mini-bar? Can I stock it with a 6-pack of bottles of diet Mt. Dew, or should I plan to rent a fridge?

Yeah, I know...

Thanks!!!

I have that question too.

I stayed 2 years ago and remember putting water bottles in, but I can't remember how many or how big they were.

Thanks for asking.

I'm at the Swan right now. I just looked in our mini bar and you can't get anything else in it. I believe that you can ask for it to be emptied so you can use it to store your own food and drink.

We have stayed at the Swan alot and I have never used or emptied the mini bar. We just put our soda cans in the ice bucket and they are fine for when you need them. We just restock with ice when empty or melted etc.

As you can see I just love the Swan. We just got back last week and I miss it so much!!!

I never use the mini bar as a fridge. I bring a large collapsible cooler, fill it with ice and that's my fridge. DH got a big Coors one during a promotion at the liquor store. I also bring a smaller one that I bring to the pool. It does a great job and it even fits 2 liter bottles of soda! :thumbsup2

Great question! My diet Mt. Dew is my "coffee" in the morning so this is good info to know! LOL!!:rotfl:

Just got back from the Swan. They will empty the mini-bar for $20 and then you can use it instead of renting a fridge. I used it to keep milk in for cereal in the morning, and also for filling water bottles and chilling them. I then add ice in the morning so we have plenty of cold water for the day. The only downside of the mini-bars is that they don't have freezer compatments, so you can't freeze water in them.

Thanks, lorik.

That's just what I needed to know. $20 would be a lot cheaper than renting the fridge for 4 days.
