Ok sorta nervous here and I need to call on the dis-experts! We had our guide, whom I must admit I do adore thusfar switch our Dec trip to AKL for us. She really did all the rearranging from a preexisting ressie we had.

So now we are advised to look into Spring for our home resort if we choose to stay there. We do not go when its hot and tinkering with dates. Here is why. My boys are Autistic and I have Fibro so we like cooler temps the best.

We just got back Sunday and found last week to be boarder line with that breaking temp for one of the boys. I also homeschool so we have the choice of when we can go and can avoid the Spring Break of schools and crowds which we did this year. Easter next year is April 24th so I hope that gives us better weeks before the rise of humidity and temps for my eldest.

So going forward, who has gone say in Feb/March and what can you recommend? We will be going the week after Thanksgiving this year. We have done that for years and love it temp wise.

Would late March be good? Home resort would be right at 11 months on the nose soon if I understood that correctly. Crowd/event wise am I shooting myself in the foot lol?

As a DVC member is there anything I should be aware of? We really want to stay clear of the hotter/busier times. My DH is leaving the planning to me -joy!

End of March will probably be pretty crowded with Spring Breakers. I would aim for early March. We were there for two weeks this year. The first week was wonderful crowd wise, the second week was pretty insane!! We were there from 3/7-3/19. I mean 170 min wait for Test Track insane. I heard it got even worse after we left.

:guilty: DH and I went in April one time....one time...too crowded and hot for us. I think it was around April 17th or so. This year along the Gulf Coast it has been very pleasant thus far. So early March would be my recommendation.

We like to go in February...about 70 seemed to be the high when we went, then maybe 50-60's at night..

ty for the replies...

I really like the idea of March I just wonder since Easter will be April 24th next year will Spring breakers be later? hmmm the debate lolol...

Maybe I should shake up one of those magic 8 balls :rotfl:

Spring Break can be throughout the months of March and April for different colleges. I've got two in college and one is out mid March for Spring Break, the other mid April.

I like the last week in Feb or first week in March. Temp's are better, crowds aren't yet insane.

That said, I must be out of my mind to be going in MID JUNE this year. My DD and her BFF really really want to celebrate their 21st there, and they don't turn 21 til end of May, and get home from school same time. So we booked for June. I hate the humidity and heat of summer, yet I'm plumenting into it!!! I plan to do the parks early am or after 5 pm (AP holder), and relax or dine in airconditioned restaurants in mid day!
Hopefully we'll all have a great time!

Good luck with your plans.
