I'm putting together an adult only trip for me and my 3 BFFs. With my family, I don't plan any entertainment beyond WoC, F!, Fireworks, Aladdin and maybe Billy Hill & the Hillbillies. Now I'm wondering if any of the other shows might be worthwhile to plan for.

What do y'all think about the following:

Mariachi Divas
Dapper Dans
Main Street Piano Player
Farley the Fiddler
The Laughing Stock Co.
Disneyland Band
The Straw Hatters
Royal Street Bachelors
Tomorrowland Terrace Bands
The Miner 49ers

Are any of these worth putting into a touring plan? Or, maybe there's a trick to catching a good spot for one of these shows?

They are all fun. Last month we saw Farley and he is a hoot.

Also not on your list - but should be - is Laser Man at DCA's Electronica. Very cool.

These are "street" performers. All are fun but are not really shows. Most performances are 15-20 minutes. The Disneyland band usually do several different "sets" during the day. and are worthwhile. During breaks between rides or when eating they are worthwhile.

The Laughing Stock is the most fun for adults, and is worth scheduling.

The Tomorrowland terrace bands are for dancing, or when eating in the evening. The Main Street Piano is in the eating area of the Coke Corner, and provides the misic for Musical Chairs with the Mad Hatter & Alice at 2:30.

My favorite is the Mariachi Divas that play in the eating area of the Pacific Wharf. They are like a Mariachi band that come to your table and plays whether you want them or not. If you like Mariachi (sometimes playing Disney songs Mariachi style) plan to eat when they are scheduled. They are Grammy Award winners playing in the park. They have small audiances and will welcome requests.

Great trip report. That's very informative. Does anyone know if characters still participate with the bands?

Thanks to everyone for their input!

The characters were at the show in front of the castle last year. And, I am pretty sure we also saw them interacting with the Hook and Ladder Co. and with the band early in the morning by the train station.
