Planning Dinner ADRs for April

I have no idea how to plan given the park hours all ending at 5, 6 or 7 at the end of April. I've read that I could (perhaps) expect park hours to go later. My question is: when do the extensions tend be added? I realize I'll have to go with what is posted for my dinner ADR and then keep checking to see if hours are extended--is that right? I'm finding my first WDW trip to be a bit confusing in these unusual times.

Did our ADRs this am.
Did most of the evening meals outside of parks so we could maximize our park time, such as it is with everything closing so early.

Note that if they extend the park hours for your trip, the dining windows will eventually catch up. I am going the 1st week in March. They extended the hours on the 5th. But it was yesterday morning (the 16th) before new availability opened for the 6 PM to 7 PM time frame.

Yes, this mean readjusting some things I had in place, but I was able to also get restaurants that had been previously booked up (every single table service restaurant including BOG and CRT had new openings - CRT even had some 7:15 PM times). I also saw other times opening up earlier in the day, likely as people moved a reservation to a later time slot which opened them up.
