I am currently in the planning stages for an adults-only trip this coming fall! I have to share somewhere, and I figured folks here would be as excited as I am! Some things have been booked, but we are flexible and hoping that free dining will be announced.

The cast: Me - 35, female and LOVE Disney! This will be my 9 trip to the World. Jared - my boyfriend, 36, his first trip to WDW. Erin - 26, one of my best girlfriends - she's been to WDW once when she was a kid. Kyiel - 34, Erin's boyfriend, first trip to WDW. Jessica - My cousin, 30, lives in Tampa and will likely be joining us for a day or two.

This trip is a surprise for Kyiel - we are hoping that he won't catch on that we are even going to the airport until we turn off the highway on the night of our flight. We are -hoping- we can convince him we're going to visit Jessica (my cousin) in Tampa for a week for a beach vacation so he won't -really- know where we're going until we turn into WDW!

We may all be adults, but we are huge goofballs. We will thoroughly embrace our inner children when we are there - we will hug characters and be excited to meet them; we will scream on rides and be awed by fireworks.

We are tentatively booked at the Carribean Beach resort from Oct 27-Nov 10, 2016. With the Canadian dollar being what it is, myself, Jared, Erin and Kyiel will be sharing a room. We regularly camp together and share a tent, so a nice hotel room for the 4 of us will be no problem.

We have 10 day park hoppers with waterpark options, as well as the Photopass purchased. We already plan on going to MNSSHP and MVMCP. I am pretty much in charge of planning everything (which I love doing, so I'm okay with this!); I have my alarm set at 180 days to make ADRs!

My background is in costuming, and all four of us are geeks at heart and love dressing up, so we have come up with a great MNSSHP group costume. I'm in charge of all the sewing (So lots to do). We are going to be the following:

Me: Wendy Darling - classic blue nightgown, curly hair and bow!
Jared: Captain Hook - He's even growing his mustache out so he can wax it into the correct shape!
Erin: Tinkerbell - she'll be adorable!
Kyiel: Peter Pan!

One thing I never thought I'd say to Erin was "I ordered tights for Kyiel today!". I was wrong! We went with Peter for him because it's an easy costume for me to make without needing to get any measurements from him! Erin is going to sneak me a pair of shorts and a t-shirt that fit him well and I can use those to draft a pattern.

Our costumes are going to be as close as I can make them to what you see used in the parks - It took me two months to find material in the right colour and weight for Hook's pants!

I'm in the process of planning a trip for Oct 16-21! I'm 28 (turn 29 on Oct 19) and I'm super excited about it. I've never been to Disney World in the fall, so I've never done any of the Halloween stuff, which I'm super excited about. I'm going with an old friend of mine who's never been to WDW before, so I'm really excited to experience it with him. I'm super jealous you're going for 10 days. Unfortunately I can't afford to take that much time off work (and I don't think I can afford Disney for that long period right now). We haven't even figured out where we're staying yet, much less what we want to do for costumes for MNSSHP, but I'm really looking forward to it.

14 actually! And we can only afford it because we're sharing one room with 4 adults...and we can only afford it if free dining comes out, so keep your fingers crossed for that!

Ah. Splitting between more people definitely helps. We're only two right now. There's a third person who's thinking about coming and I really hope she does because it vastly changes what we can afford. Still wouldn't be able to stay more than a week, but we would at least be able to stay at a moderate resort. And I'm really hoping for free dining too. It would make a huge difference.

The wife and I are going 10/29 - 11/4. Currently booked at Bonnet Creek but may change if Free Dining comes out for that time period.

Hubby and I ( he has no idea we're going) are going 10/20 thru 10/29 we are booked at the Beach Club Resort hoping we can get free dining but I may just purchase for us. Hubby really loved the free dining last year when we were there and since this is our anniversary trip celebrating 25yrs of marriage, I want to make sure he has everything that my wallet can afford :-)

So, it's getting closer! I've finally hit the less than 7 month mark, and so it's time to get some details worked out.

First, costumes are coming along nicely. I'm so glad that the rules for adults for MNSSHP haven't changed -that- much, and ours should all still be fine. As a preview, here's Hook so far. Tinkerbell's wings are about 80% done, her dress is 40% done. Peter's tunic is 90% done - still have to start his shorts. Wendy's dress is cut out. I have all the accessories, wigs, etc ready to go!

You are going to have a ball! NOTE! We received an email before our trip in Feb with a link to the site stating there are updated park rules and I remember no adult costumes allowed in parks. I hope it meant masks etc but because DH & I are never going to dress up I did not fully read this rule. Please check this new park rule before you arrive to avoid disappointment at a theme park (hoping I have misunderstood the rule). I think it would be marvellous to meet you all in a resort though! P.S. Please go to Epcot France pavilion and visit Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie. OMG good!

They released special rules for the parties thankfully!

Have a great vacation! Your costumes look incredible! I loved MNSSHP last Fall & it was a highlight of my trip.

I noticed you have Ohana booked for dinner on your arrival day? You are also from Canada? I don't know when your flight lands but be aware you could have a flight delay and/or slower Magical Express and that, combined with your travel time from CBR to the Poly, could make it a stressful hike to Ohana that night. However, it is very difficult to get an Ohana ADR so changing dates may be tough. I now try not to book a TS for my arrival day because of this concern. If Free Dining does come out, definitely confirm at check-in that your magic bands have been properly linked to your account (and your passwords have been set up) as I learned the hard way last Fall when I raced to DIS Springs for a TS dinner on my arrival day only to discover that my magic band wasn't set up properly and they wouldn't honour the DP. Hard way to start the vacation.

I also noticed you have a couple of park hopper days back to back in the middle of your vacation. Have you park hopped before? If not, it does take more time to get from one park to another then most of us think and personally, I find it wears me out esp if I'm running to make an ADR in another park. Your group might want to take a hard look at the number of park hopper days you have planned and try to have an easy 1 park day thrown in here and there as a break from the extra walking and transpo.

Have a wonderful time!

Our flight is scheduled to land around 1 pm - we are renting a car, so ME timing isn't a concern I'm a WDW vet (done many MANY trips!) so I took that into account. Dinner won't be until 7 or 8 pm, so we should (hopefully) be fine!

I usualy park hop, always have. I usually plan an hour for getting from park to park, but given that it's 4 adults, and the only scheduled thing most days is dinner and FP's, we should be okay.

I am 47 and DH is 51, you are NEVER TOO OLD for WDW! We do not have children. DH have a trip by ourselves this May 4-13, then back again Oct 21-28 with my MIL and BIL. Your plans sound terrific! We are DVC and are staying at AKL-J both stays. We always eat at Bluezoo, my favorite restaurant at Dolphin. I am excited for your friends too. Can't wait to hear how the plans unfold.
