Planning a trip to WDW March 1st-9th 2008...

Hi,
We are planning our very first trip to WDW from March 1st to 9th. We choose these dates because our daughter turns 5 on March 8th and this is her birthday present!

Any idea how the crowds are the first week of March? I know spring break is in march/april but does it start early or mid march? Also how is the weather? Also tips on how to book the cheapest rates on air/hotel and any other tips would be greatly appericated!

Crowds in earch March are not bad. You will be gone before the Easter/Spring Break crowds arrive.

We have been at Disney the 1st week of March, 3 out of the last 4 years (and will be there again this year). Last year, we went the week prior to that one.

Crowd-wise - This is a perfect time crowd wise. It is just before the spring break season. The week-end we leave does start to pick up and get quite busy but the week-end we arrive and during the week is fantastic. Because it is the week before the really busy spring break season, things start staying open a little later.

Weather-wise - We have had years where it was a little chilly for swimming (but we went anyway) and years that were very warm and perfect for swimming.

You'll have a fantastic time! Do plan for chillier nights just in case. You'll want long sleeves and light jackets just in case. But definitely bring the shorts and swim suits because most likely you'll have several very warm days perfect for swimming.
