Planning a trip Spring 2022. Is there a way to find out when Spring Break is, so I can avoid it?

That’s hard as spring break can vary by regions. Ours is always third week in March. Universities around here are the week before.

Spring Break occurs at different times at different schools. Pretty much all of late February thru April can be considered Spring Break.

Spring Break starts in mid February and ends the week following Easter Sunday (April 17, 2022). So I recommend January or May, or Summer.

Spring Break for many Central FL school districts is March 14 - 18, 2022.

March and April is considered spring break to me. In my area we get off the week after Easter for public and most private schools. Colleges in my state vary with mostly weeks in March.

I've done early March twice and didn't find it bad at all.

Our spring break is the week of April 24, but our winter break is late Feb...

I would just assume someone somewhere is on a break starting Presidents day through end of April

If you want to be guaranteed not to be there during spring break, don’t go during March or April at all. With Easter falling on April 17 next year, the schools with breaks tied to Easter will be there during the last half of the month, and the ones with breaks during set weeks will be there from early March through the middle of April. You might be able to go the very beginning of March, before it gets too busy with SB, but otherwise I would consider February or May instead.

Mid-March to mid-April is the peak spring break crowd time. As others said, it is not a single week because different schools and colleges have different weeks off. However, heavy crowds can be expected during that entire timeframe.

Winter breaks start mid-February and Spring breaks start in March. I think some school is on vacation from mid-February through the end of April. Having said that, our school has spring break the last week of April every year and we've found that it's a good time to go. It's not too crowded and the weather is nice.

As many have alluded to, Spring Break is NOT just the two weeks around Easter. It can encompass all of March and April.

Everyone has already given good answers. I’m in NY and ours starts the week of April 17th but the schools are also closed the 14th and 15th. Theres a poll on another board that has dates for spring break that can also help. Spring break 2022 poll

Lots of Texas is March 14-18. I think this includes colleges, for sure Texas A&M.
