Been wanting to go to Disneyland for years now, and finally get to next June 2015. There will be four adults and one child going, shouldn't be too bad. Main reason we are going in June is because of school. Everyone I'm going with is either in school, or work for schools and can only go in summer...bummer. Anyway, any suggestions or help would be appreciated. My main concern right now is figuring out where to stay. And also, Grad Nights. If anyone has info on that topic please feel free to comment. Thanks so much! ~Todd

We've had decent luck going the last weekend in June since that is usually when grad nights are over, SoCal AP's run out, and black-out dates begin.

And also, Grad Nights. If anyone has info on that topic please feel free to comment.

Students and chaperones participating in the Grad Nights have access to both parks during the day and then move over to DCA for the actual "grad night". I felt like you saw more of the grads in DL during the day (probably because that's when they could be there and they were saving the DCA rides for later). It made DL feel busier, but not necessarily any worse than a typical weekend afternoon. In terms of behavior, in general, the grads aren't any different than anyone else. Some were well behaved, some were not, but nothing totally outrageous. I wouldn't avoid going to DLR just because of a grad night.

Ok, thanks for the info!:) I'm actually thinking of moving our dates to the end of July, or the middle of August. I'm not really too worried about crowds since I have been able to handle them at the World. And I'm planning on going for about a week, from a Sunday to a Saturday. Going to plan a trip to Hollywood one day too. Just any info anyone has, tips, suggestions, whatever you care to share would help me out. Seems like its hard to find info on Disneyland compared to Disneyworld, and I'm completely new to the original park. Thanks! :)

I'm not a dl or California expert, but I'd be worried about the heat in July and August. If you're used to wdw maybe heat's not a concern for you though, just putting it out there :)

Pay attention to the 60th anniversary. Not real info now so everything is guesswork at this point:
