True that they don't announce them that far in advance but you can look at the historical date range and see that MK Is not offered in October with all of the MNSSHP being sold instead.

That is why I would shift Wed & Thur to BWV.

New scenario allows you to bank points for another trip.

As far as extra hours goes it seems like Epcot remains constant but they have swapped in Animal Kingdom and HS.

For us going in Mid October it will be Epcot & HS

I ask bc last time we stayed at AKV towards the end of the trip - we had a late flight and headed to the parks on our last day. It ended up being fine but I still felt it was a bit stressful vs being able to walk to a park (thinking this would be a vote towards your Scenario 1!) Could just be me since I’m used to saying at Crescent Lake but if you weren’t planning on it anyway, ignore

Yea that makes sense, I hate park days on the last day because it feels like rushing around to try to squeeze things in before you have to leave, causing too much stress. I’ve done it a few times at DLR and it just ruins the day. IMO
So no not planning on it, but if I did that would be good to keep in mind.

Yea 2bdrm is just luxury, not a must. I would just reserve 2 studios and if I have enough points, at 7 months try to swap into it.

Yes, it is a luxury but if you’re doing a two bedroom somewhere earlier on the trip, you do not want to wind up with a studio at the end just a tip there

Honestly you could split the difference a bit and do a 2 Br or 2 studios at BWV and then try to get by with 1Br at BLT and Kidani at AKV since they both have an extra bathroom. I don't think 5 people would be bad in those 1brs with 2 full baths and it would be less points than the 2br but still have full kitchen and laundry at least 2/3 of the time (or all the time if you do the 2br at BWV)

Yea, i definitely don’t need laundry or kitchen the whole time, just would be nice halfway or near the end.
And I hear ya about going from studios to full villas. lol

True, It may come down to whichever is better on points, I think 1bdrm may work ok, just not sure how guests feel about the sofa bed and their kid on the single sleeper, but it may not be an issue, just in my head.

Ok, so i've been playing around, with just studios, & got a better idea...

Scenario 1 is bad because i don't have enough points for BLT. add Friday at 7 months
Scenario 2 is ok but it doesn't align with EEH at all (but that may not matter)
Scenario 3 might be the best, it aligns with both EEH (if they happen as expected) add Friday at 7 months
Scenario 2b is the cheapest option, but not sure cheapest should be the priority, as long as i have the points. add Friday at 7 months

Another question for you as you mentioned borrowing for your totals earlier.

Have you considered buying OTUP?

BLT & BWV standard you will need the 11 month window but with 165 Savannah rooms at AKL it is certainly doable at 7 months and then you would not have to borrow all of your points. This would also allow you to retain more of the points that are in my opinion more valuable of BWV & BLT.
