Planning a DVC trip to the Carribean

Any thoughts on this? Has anyone stayed at the resort in Nassau, Bahamas?

Is there a lot to see or do there besides what is listed for the "hotel" and the "near by" sections on interval international dvc memeber page.

We have always done wdw or dl through our membership, trying to think outside the box! lol my husband will be graduating from college and our kids will be 12 and 8 when we decide to go, want to have a fun experience for all.

When i tried to look up information on siteseeing everything seemed to be with the water and animals. Anything else there?

I'm not a huge Nassau fan, but it's reasonable airfare and you get the Caribbean feel.

Nassau ( and Paradise Island are pretty pricey as far any food/entertainment goes ) I'm thinking that the DVC trade is Atlantis? That place is very pricey! ACK! But some folks love it. I'd suggest you check it out first, though. For first hand reviews my favorite site is Tripadvisor.com. Just search Atlantis and there you go!

Now, if you really want to think outside the box, have a look at Royal Sea Aquarium in Curacao. That's where my next out of the country with kids trip will be. It has great reviews and with the Sea Aquarium next door ( that even has a camp) it just seems like everyone will have fun.

Good Luck I have had a trade in for Atlantis for any part of the summer of 2009 for awhile nothing yet. Hopefully you will have better luck. Tracy

how far in advance did you put in for it? we arent going until may 2011. jun1-nov 30 is hurricane season, dont really want to go then.
