compared to trying to figure out a European vacation!

I am so undecided/confused on everything but the first 4 days which we are spending in Copenhagen for a wedding! *sigh* Actually I'm still confused about that. We haven't booked flights, hotels, rental cars (do we even need one?), etc.

We leave in 3 months!

If the wedding is in Copenhagen you do not need a car. You can take the train from the Copenhagen airport directly into the city center. It is about 20 minutes. Also nearly every rental car in Europe will be a manual transmission (only mention this as many people in USA do not know how to operate--including my DH).

Where else in Europe are you going? I may be able to help you figure some of this out.

Sign up for SAS flight notifications, they fly direct from DC and they are my preferred carrier to Scandinavia. I have gotten some good deals in the past, but end of May to Europe is high season.

This could get expensive!

What is SAS?

I signed up on Kayak alerts and flights to/from Copenhagen for our dates are hovering aroud low to mid 800.

Easy question first SAS= Scandinavian Airlines

As far as the expensive comment. Scandinavia is very expensive and more so now with the weak dollar. Remember when making plans that the Scandinavian countries are NOT on the EURO.....so the Danish Kroner has a different conversion rate than the Norwegian or the Swedish.

The kayak rates aren't bad for that time of year, especially if they are direct flights from DC to Copenhagen. Keep in mind there is typically no advantage to going round trip. You may find it best to fly into Copenhagen attend wedding, visit Tivoli, the mermaid, etc....yet fly out of Stockholm...you will have to figure out what is most important to you and devise your route.

If you have specific questions you can send me PM
