Planning a Bridal Shower!

Hi Everyone!

This is my first real post on the Wedding Boards! I've been a long time lurker, but now I have a legitimate reason to post.

One of my best friends, Jaclyn (Belle_373) got engaged in Sept 2009, and has asked me to be her Maid of Honour at her Oct 2011 Disney Fairytale Wedding!

I have lots of time to plan her shower but having attended her engagement party this past weekend, it got me thinking and what better place for suggestions and advice that here with all the wonderful Dis-brides!

It isn't a surprise shower, but that doesn't mean I want her to know everything (hear that Jaclyn )

So far I've decided to host the shower at my house and go with an afternoon tea theme.

I have a rough idea for menu, decorations and I found THE cutest invitations ever on weddingpaperdivas.com (PM if you want to see )

Has anyone had or thrown an afternoon tea shower before? Any suggestions?

Did you have any fantastic bridal shower games (general or specifically disney!).

Any tips or suggestions?

We had my daughter's bridal shower at the Tea room at the Grand Floridian. Since it's going to be a disney wedding you might want to think about an Alice in Wonderland mad hatter tea party. That is the theme that her sister did for her invitations and it was really cute!!!!

I'm 99% sure that Jaclyn is going to have a small bridal tea at the Garden View Lounge at the GF.

I was thinking of a Mary Poppins theme actually but the Alice in Wonderland idea is great too!
