Planning 2015 June trip to Hawaii - which island?

If I don't go through vrbo then maybe we can do a few days in Oahu and then 5 in Maui. Or maybe they don't require the Sat-Sat stays that most Florida vrbo rentals seems to require. I'll have to look into maybe flying into Maui, then immediately flying into Oahu for a few days then back to Maui to then leave from Maui. Or perhaps the cost won't differ much flying into Oahu and flying out of Maui. Lots to look into!

Just a little advise if you plan on staying at Aulani (westside of oahu) traffic is really bad during morning commute to town (Waikiki). In the afternoon the traffic is really bad coming from east (waikiki) to west (aulani-koolina).

Thank you for the advice. I haven't even looked into Aulani but since I'm now thinking of splitting time between Maui and Oahu I may look into it. Kind of hesitant to look into it to tell you the truth because I know I'll want to go and stay there for probably longer than we should lol.
