Planner---AKL rooms correct?

We just got our 08-09 planner today and I was looking at the drawing for the new villas over at AKL. I remember touring the demo rooms last year set up at Saratoga Springs and the 1 bedrooms had the 2nd small bath in the entry area which I was really excited about. The drawings in the planner don't have this bath and the larger private master that usually has the large shower---which I love---isn't there. It looks like only a tub/shower combo. Am I just looking at the plans wrong? It seems to me that these rooms aren't quite as "nice" as the previous resort villas. When I did the tour they made it seem that these new AKL rooms were so much better. Am I just missing something?

The floor plans you saw are correct, but only for the current AKL to AKV conversions in the Jambo House.
The show suites we saw at SSR are for the new building-Kindani Village which is under construction next to the current AKL.

The floor plans in the planner are of the Jambo house villas, not the Kidani villas. The Jambo house villas were constructed by converting existing rooms in the Animal Kingdom Lodge to vacation villas. Due to inherent space constraints, the villas at Jambo do not match the model rooms.

When we bought at AKV, our guide told us that the model rooms were for Kidani and that the Jambo rooms would be different due to the adaptation of existing rooms.

My guess is that the planner has the Jambo rooms because Kidani is not scheduled to open until 2009, so we can see the actual floor plans for an AKV stay in 2008.

How much of the original Animal Kingdom Lodge is being converted to DVC?? If you were standing in the lobby looking out to arusha rock, and assuming that is North - is it everything to the West?? How many hotels rooms are there going to be left??

All 15 rooms on the 6th floor are included.

On the 5th floor: all of the rooms around the horseshoe (Zebra and Kudu trails) are included; on the Ostrich and Giraffe trails (the two short trails along the front of the resort), all of the savanna and pool view rooms are included and six parking lot view rooms are included. Those six rooms are in the last "segment" on the Ostrich trail. The Ostrich trail is to your left as your enter the lobby of AKL. The suites on the 5th floor are included in the outline of AKV but it's not clear what is happening with those rooms.
