Planet Of The Apes Marathon!

ummm, I love me some monkey movies:banana:

I just love the ending scene of the first one where he finds the Statue of Liberty in the sand and realizes that he's been on Earth all along. That has got to be one of the most powerful movie moments ever. It's right up there alone with "Soylent green is people!".

I also really like "Beneath the Planet of the Apes", but given the ending, I don't understand how they continue the series.

I'm out of town, so I won't be able to record it.:sad2:
I love those movies. DH and I saw the new one when it came out in the theater, but it couldn't compare to the originals.

woot! As a kid I thought these were the best movie ever! I haven't seen one in ages, but have seen them all a dozen times.

I have a boxed set of VHS versions of these but I can't recall the last time I watched one. What I'd really like to see is Planet of the Apes - The Musical starring Troy McClure (who you might remember from such films as "The Boatjacking of Supership 79" and "Hydro, the Man With the Hydraulic Arms"!)

Hmmm... wasn't 12/31 also a pivotal date in POTA? :scratchin Like that was the date of the uprise of the apes?

I have been on Soarin' probably over 50 times and each and every time I think of the Soylent Green euthanasia chamber.:rotfl: :hippie:

They explain it in Escape from The Planet of The Apes

The origional is my favorite with Escape coming in 2nd.
