Okay, I am kinda scared now, we have dinner ressies at Planet Hollywood, but I was recently looking on wdwinfo, and saw that it was constantly ranked one of the worst restraunts in Walt Disney World, what is you guy's opinions on Planet Hollywood? :confused3 :confused3

Not a fan. I personally didnt like the food but the atmostphere is cute to check out. My favorite is the Rocky statue on the outside. Other then that, not a good choice for dinner. MO, try and change it, there are a bunch of other restaurants downtown that are much better.

We ate there on Mother's Day and it was great! All four of us had something different (1/2 lb. hamburger, salmon, fajita's, & ?) and all of us thought the food and the staff were wonderful! Don't be scared -- just enjoy! :thumbsup2

PH used to be my favorite place to eat at Disney. The food is just ok. Not bad, not great.

The atmosphere USED to be awesome, where they showed movie clips, commercials, etc. Now, they have a DJ who plays music videos. I don't like it as much anymore.

Certainly keep your ressies though. It's worth going to once. I go once now every trip. I used to go 3 or 4 times. Now, I prefer going to Rainforest Cafe. What can I say - I'm a sucker for themed restaurants.

We ate there the last time we were at WDW and we had a great meal. Mom and I both had huge cheeseburgers and fries and my dad had a 1/2 chicken and he said it was really good. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and in fact we were going to go this time but just chose a different restaurant. The only downside for us was the music is incredibly LOUD. Go and enjoy.

Every trip, we have go to Planet Hollywood for dinner one evening. The key to getting in early without a reservation is actually getting their before 6 pm. Otherwise, you can wait up to 3 hours for a table. Our last visit, we had 7 people and were able to walk right in around 5:30, shortly after the Mets vs Braves Spring Training game at WWOS. The food is always great, and the service is average. Like many other establishment, they WILL ADD GRAT to Parties. Some servers will tell you, others will not. Keep an eye for the money hungry ones that try to cover it up. I actually went their on my birthday and they brought out a "free" brownie (big enough for each of us to have 3 bites) with a candle in it. My sister and wife had the dj embarass me with a song and a birthday announcement, which the entire dining room heard. Nice touch to the evening.

we love it and visit at least once on each trip. My opinion is to try everything once for yourself and if you don't like it, you don't have to go again. Everyone has different tastes though so just because someone else doesn't like something, that doesn't mean you won't either.

We went on our last trip and won't be going back. The decor is great, but not worth the high prices and bad service. After paying $3.00 for a coke I didn't dare ask for a refill. I didn't want to risk being charged another $3.00.

We have eaten there 3 times (with number 4 at the end of the month) and have always had great service and food.

The LA Lasagna is amazing! They also have, IMHO, the best desserts.

Seconded. :thumbsup2 I love it too. And the desserts. There's a white chocolate sponge one, can't quite remember the name, but as Scar says "It's to die for"... ;)

I have been to a few Planet Hollywoods in different citys and I have to say that all of them were the same. Food WAY over priced for what it was and what you got. It was below sub par. It was like that at the different ones I went to. I thought maybe different city might be better, but nope. I will NOT pay that top dollar amount at that place again if different ones were like that I don't expect any better from any others.

Planning on giving it a whirl next April. Will make ADRs for around 5pm. The menu looks the best for our family. Adventurous they are not!!So if they can't pronounce it they won't eat it, Steak, hambutgers ,chicken is their speed served with potatoes or rice and simple salads or veg so I'm sure they'll be happy!!

We went here because we had a free coupon in Sept '06. We also ordered some meals off the menu as well. Can I say it was the worst food I have ever had in my life. It was a waste and even being part free was awful. Never ever again. And can you believe it was our last meal. Even the wait staff was not good! I read so much on here about how bad it was and wanted to try for myself, I sure wish I had listened. If I was given my food for free I would still never go back!

I had a booking for Sept and cancelled it due to the bad reviews, but OH r4ally wanted to go ther, so we used the free meal voucher and did luch there, that way if it was not good we did not waste a dinner. We were very plesantly surprised, the food was good.

The service was a bit strange, the waitress was friendly and effcient, but I think she may have had larangitis or lost her voice as she did not talk at all, but smiled and nodded all the time.

Your experience is going to depend on your server. I have been there and received great service, gone back and had terrible service.

We were there 2 weeks ago using the meal vouchers that came w/ our package. We arrived at 5:30pm and were seated right away and the restaurant was not very crowded. Our service was terrible. The first thing the server asked us was if we had vouchers - from that moment until we walked out was 2 hours. The food was pretty good but my 2 1/2 year old was so over being in her high chair 1/2 way through the meal.

The dj did get on my nerves a little but then he started playing 80's hair band music and I loved it!

It does have some neat movie memorabilia but now that I have "been there done that" enough times, we will most likely not go back.

You should check it out at least once - you might have great service and really enjoy yourself.
