Planet Hollywood really that BAD!!!!!

Hello were taking our first disneytrip in 2 weeks. We have all are ressies down 1 of them being Planet hollywood from the pics and menu seems like some good food.I took a look at trip advisor and was amazed by all the bad reviews 23!!!to 11good reviews I was wondering if can shed some light on this.Is it really that bad.http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaura...Reviews-Planet_Hollywood-Orlando_Florida.html

I have gone there several times and never have had a problem! I always like the food! My family have also been there several times and never found a problem and liked their food very much!

We were there the end of March and it was fine. Was it great? No. But is good and fine enough...particularly since we had a $15 off coupon. Desert was really good.

We went last year and wasn't impressed at all. DH steak was RAW, even though he asked for it medium well. I am not overstating either, when he cut into it blood ran out, not juice mind you but blood. He sent it back and they returned it and it was still not cooked like he wanted. He didn't want to send it back again because by now the rest of the family was 1/2 finished with our food. My DD and her DBF are going to eat there next week, when we are at Disney again, but the rest of the family will not be joining them.

I don't know that I'd call it bad. It just seems to be fairly overpriced mediocre food.

It wasn't amazing, but it was good enough:) The only thing that we had a problem with was the noise level, but it's to be expected at Disney. Everything's worth a try!

Hi- I have been there a half a dozen times over the years, last September was our most recent dining experience there. I have always liked the atmosphere and food has always been great.

It's like any other chain restaurant - stick to the basics. I can vouch for their chicken caesar salad, my DH for the turkey club and their Cap'n Crunch chicken fingers are very good! The spinach/artichoke dip and the burgers looked fine as well. I have also heard people rave about the LA Lasagna, but personally it wouldn't be somthing I would try (but that's just me...)

Like somone else said, it is loud, and depending on where you are sitting, be prepared to have people looking over your shoulder or standing in front of your table as they wander around looking at the memorabilia.

We have always enjoyed Planet Hollywood. Like others have said, it can be a little noisey, but that is expected so it doesn't bother us at all.

We have eaten there three times. The Third time was only because another in our party wanted to see it.

Each Time it has been poor service, with orders being wrong, Food arriving very cold or not cooked properly ie (pink chicken, burnt to a crisp medium rare burgers). It would take forever to get your server back to checkback on your meal. The bill was actually wrong 2 of the 3 times we were there.

I have managed several large places like PH. I chalked the first visit up to just a bad day. When we went to give them a second chance, I saw the same problems. We would not have gone back if our guests didn't want to try it.

We will not be going back again, others here have had no problems, but speaking from restaurant experience, PH seems to have some major issues when it comes to putting out quality food. It's kinda a shame cause the look of the place is awesome.

I've eaten there twice, once pre-kids and once on last year's family trip, and enjoyed it both times. You have to take it for what it is, though - a chain that counts on the gimmick to justify high prices. The food isn't anything remarkable, but it was well prepared for what we had (buffalo strips, spinach dip, chicken fajitas, burgers - basic TGI Fridays type foods). As a teen I thought the place was super-cool but now I'm not really a fan of the atmosphere, which is VERY noisy. My kids love it, though, so I guess I've just gotten too old to want to shout my dinnertime conversation. :confused3 The volume level aside, checking out all the movie memorabilia is really cool. DH and DS11 are both big movie buffs, and they really enjoyed sitting at the table trying to figure out what movies were represented in the stuff on the walls & ceiling.

It was worth doing once, but I doubt we'll be going back any time soon. We don't spend much time at Downtown Disney (we skip it entirely on some trips) and still want to try Raglan Road, and besides, we can go to PH at a couple of other vacation destinations and they're all about the same.

I've eaten there several years ago. It was typical restaurant fare similiar in nature and quality to Applebee's or TGI Fridays.

We thought it was rather good. I have eaten at Planet Hollywood when there was one in Atlanta and I was impressed then, well because it was popular at that time and I was an older teen and I think that speaks for itself.

My cousin said she wanted to try it on our Dec 2008 trip so we could use our $15 voucher and I was surprised at how good it was, I had the most wonderful steak, a sirloin, I believe. The atmosphere is loud but fun, with all the memoribilia. I ended up only paying for a portion of one of our meals with my AP discount and the $15 voucher, so it was definitely worth it.

I thinkt Dh and I will go again on our June trip, since again, we will have the $15 voucher and an AP for the discount.

We had no problems with the food or service but the noise level . . .

It's been awhile since I ate there and my response was..."Meh."

Not only that but we were in the Sci Fi section and they had some of their facts wronnnnggggg

We've only been once. That was enough, really. We didn't hate it, but I doubt we'll ever return.

The food was okay, the service was okay, the portions were large. The place is way too small for all the tables they try to cram in there though. It felt like we were at a table in the middle of an aisle, as there were rows of tables on either side of us, with the tables for two down the middle. (That's where we were, at a table for two.) The 'aisle' was so tight that servers going past our table kept bumping into us and our plates, which were so large they literally hung off the sides of the table. It was the most unenjoyable meal of our entire trip, any trip.

Again, the food and service were fine, nothing special, but adequate and acceptable. We just didn't like being jostled during our meal and having to keep grabbing our plates to prevent them from being bumped right off the table. Plus, it was so loud we could barely speak to each other. That I could have dealt with though. After all, we like Sci Fi, and it's also loud with tiny tables. But at least at Sci Fi nobody is bumping us or our food while we're trying to eat.

You go to Planet Hollywood for the atmosphare and not for the food. I would rate the food in line with your local Uno's. Go once to checkout the place very cool if you are into movie and music but do not have high standards for your meal.
