Planet Hollywood really that BAD!!!!!

While the food is good for a chain restaurant don't go expecting gourmet. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is pre-packaged portion controlled and meant to be put together with very little skill. Think how McDonalds works. The atmosphere and attractions are worth the visit.

I don't know that I'd call it bad. It just seems to be fairly overpriced mediocre food.

That about sums it up. Food so so, noise level high, and tables right on top of each other, and service absolutely unpredictable (even within the same seating) . Our food has never been bad, but there are just too many better places to eat at nearby in DTD.

Planet Hollywood is always a MUST DO for us! Now, granted, it's me and three kids, who regularly enjoy eating out at places like TGIF, Houlihans, Chillis, Applebee's... etc... so food-wise it's just what we're used to, appetizers and sandwiches. The kid meals are really good at PH.

BUT... the service is horrible! Just very slow to get our food. Last time it took over a half hour to pay the check - about 20 minutes of that was we gave the server our card with our dining plan on them.. took forever for him to bring back the slips for us to sign.

I've eaten there several years ago. It was typical restaurant fare similiar in nature and quality to Applebee's or TGI Fridays.

This is exactly what Planet hollywood is. could not have put it better. Only reason I go is b/c of the $15 off coupon. If you go, just get a hamburger or something. Dont spend big bucks on a steak meal or anything.;)

We ate at PH just last week. It was our third visit. My DD21 really wanted to eat there as we have had good food in the past. Again, on this visit, our food was pretty good. We really enjoyed it. Unfortunately we were too full for their cheesecake as that was really good last time.
The noise level was pretty high and we had to talk loudly to each other. The service was pretty good and the server was prompt. Our table, though, was right beside a big post and my DD21 felt quite cramped - and she is a small girl!! But overall, we enjoyed it and would go back again. The $15 voucher came in handy also. :thumbsup2

We have ate there once and thought it was fine. We would eat there again, in fact DS was talking about Planet Hollywood today.

I think it's pretty darn expensive for some eh food.

We went to PH for an early lunch in March. The service was outstanding, and it was fun to walk around the empty 2nd & 3rd floors and seeing all of the movie stuff w/o bothering anyone. The food was just ok (we split the chicken/steak fajita combo & the chicken crunch app.) I would go again with the voucher, but try something different.

My family really enjoys it too! It is a must do for us for lunch on every trip, its not busy yet at this time and we can walk around and explore and we looooooove the La Lasagna and the Giradelli Brownie Sunday for Dessert:)

Funny to me how so many people have different experiences...But, for us, it was awful! We will never eat there again with so many other great choices for food at Disney. Our service was awful, and the restaurant was filthy and run down when we were there in November.
The food was honestly, just okay. With the $15 voucher, our family of 5 still paid $65.00 after tip for this place. This was with 3 kids meals. I thought it was a waste of my money.

I've eaten there before and loved it! It was such a fun atmosphere! We want to go back there this time, but I think we are going to have choose between rainforest cafe and planet hollywood, so I don't know where we'll end up. As far as the bad reviews go, I wouldn't worry too much. I know if I had a bad experience some where, I'd be more likely to write a review about it than if I had an awesome/good experience some where.

Some people just don't like some times, i don't pay much attention to reviews. I ate at the one in my local town and it was fine.

I have eaten here for many years and NEVER had a problem. We like it and go back. You must remember you can't please everybody. I try all places at least once. :thumbsup2

We ate here once and the whole family hates it except me. My veggie pizza was good. The kids had burgers and wouldn't eat them. :rotfl:
